I suddenly feel so lucky to get my bag just in time before the increase from FSH.

For H ladies on budget, 6-10% on leather goods/bags make a big difference.

Agree, it is quite a lot extra for a bag. However, for me these bags are already in a price range that is crazy high so if I pay 50 000 sek or 55 000 sek, does not really matter. It is already way above what my conscience thinks is ok, yet I know I'll buy one if I get the chance. It will anyway take me a year and a half to save up and the waiting time is just as long but for those money the bag needs to be exactly what I want re size, colour, hardware and model. Otherwise I'll take my money to another brand where I'll get better value for my money.

That is outlandish. And I expect the Hermessences will go up accordingly.

I don't know how much those other perfumes were before. It is just that I bought one Jour perfume, 1 scarf ring and a 90 scarf on line and still have the order confirmation in my inbox to compare with. I also remember the price of a Kelly wallet I looked at 3 weeks ago and now there were some online again.

Whew, OK that is better. I'm a fragrance collector and prices are high enough already! Lucky for me, I didn't like the latest Hermessence, Epice Marine.

Sorry about that, they seem to have changed the prices and sizes at the same time. Since youbare anfragrance collector have you ever smelled a Clive Christian perfume. I'm so curious if they smell so much nicer than other perfumes or last longer. The only way I could get to smell one would be buying one on-line without first smelling.

I don't think it will slow any of us down but when you look at the increase of the Kelly & Birkin that's another clic clac I could buy but I'll still be buying another Birkin this year & possibly a Kelly so it won't stop me but I will make sure I really truly love something before buying it. :graucho:

I get what you're saying- for past prices increases I've always refused to think about the dollar amount of the increase; I force myself to think in terms of percentages lol. Somehow 10% sounds better than several hundred $$!! I think Hermes knows their customer very well- if they can spend $8000 on a handbag, they can certainly afford an extra $800 and will likely willingly pay it! :smile1:

Clive Christian bought out Crown Perfumery within the last ten years, and got rid of all its old stock. I owned three bottles of Crown stuff and it was wonderful. My perfume friends were so annoyed with CC (because they loved Crown) that they wouldn't even smell his stuff, plus they thought it was too expensive.

So to answer your question, no I don't own any CC, nor have I smelled it. Sorry.

I am glad I have a nice collection already and can pick and choose going forward which select items I will buy. No more twilly on principle for me. I feel for those just starting to buy H :-(

I am hoping to build a nice collection of GM scarves. I think I might have to make a trip to Madison to see what is left before the price increase. I suspect not much is left based on what is on H.com.

Based on designerdiva40's price update..

10.5% Clic H
14.2% Clic Clac

(from UK H.com)

the highest increase mentioned, so far:

40.9% silk (from 220-310) (mondrianum didn't specify which silk item)

(also from UK H.com)

I think £220 was a couple of years ago, the 90's were £280 before the increase to £310....... It's still a big increase especially on bags :(

Is it confirmed that twillies in the US will increase by 30%? If so, I'm ordering a bunch now before the increase! Even 140 is high for what it is, but I definitely want some for my new B.

I am in the same situation. I am so thankful that I have a great collection already that only a scarf that really calls to me will make me tempted.....at the £200/ £239 price I was happy to buy and see if I loved a scarf but at £310 I have to know I love it

That's what I thought. I wonder what it'll be for the US then...
I suspect the maxi twillys will be particularly vulnerable to a substantial price increase based on their overwhelming popularity. Simple economics- corporations look to grab the most profits from their most popular and lucrative products.
