If there were any VERY strong candidates on my wish list I would buy them now. But the things I want are not available yet (AW cashmere shawls).

I'm not going to grab anything H just because of the price increase. I did that once with a few twills and never wear them. Fear based buying is bad for me. Good for H's bottom line though :thinkin:

I was there to pick up the Silkypop in the black Cheval du Marwari pattern. I'd resisted for a long time, but I'm glad I finally gave into the urge, as it makes a cute summer bag and a good alternative to lugging around the B. or wearing a yard of silk around one's neck in this absolutely horrendous Atlanta heat - high 90's today, ladies. It's definitely not Hermes weather unfortunately.

I was there too! At that time~ LOL I came in to return and exchange a few items at 5:00 p.m. It was a nice store as I was/am traveling. Too bad I missed you guys? In case you did see me I was in with my son who is 4. I have blond hair just like my siggy pic.

Oh, darn it, Ghost, I would have liked to have met you. I must have skipped out before you arrived to try and beat the Atlanta Friday traffic and to avoid any other H. temptations.

Glad you enjoyed the Atlanta H, however. You'll have to come back when they move into their new quarters in the spring.

This is very good advice. No one wants a bag that isn't quite the right leather or color just to save 6-8%. Wait for the right thing and the money will always come.

India: Please update us once your SA from Wall Street store comes back with the answer to the crazy price increase. I am starting to get worry and about to cut down on my birkin wish list. :sweatdrop::crybaby:

I spoke w/an SA at the Wall Street store last week and she concurred with the earlier posters, there will be a 12% increase around August, tho they weren't sure on what specifically (but thought scarves for sure) as well as another increase in the winter. UGH!

I was at the store around 2 p.m. Brittany called to say that some of the things I wanted had come in, and it was either rush in on a Friday or wait until tomorrow. Like I could wait? LOL Now I just have to wait for the Palais scarf in the colorway I want to come in, and the pen case is on charge/send...yippee!

IMO, you got the best Silkypop bag they make. The black in Marwari is beyond gorgeous. Enjoy!

Oh, I think you mentioned a new Hermes store in Atlanta? Where? Bigger and better in Lenox?

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this or if this is universal for all stores, but the H in San Francisco is going to have a 5% price increase at the end of July :crybaby:

The SA told me this last week when I went to the H store

This information is all over the place - one person says 12% on August 15, one person says 5%% at end of July, one person says 6% in August-September, one person says just silks, another person says everything. Some stores say they have heard nothing. There cant be this much variance store to store. I hope this can be clarified.

Darn it is right! That would have been wonderful...The traffic was a bit congested we got stuck on 75 for an hour and a 1/2.:cursing:...You were right to vamoose out of there. Where are they moving to?
