Price increases on fine jewelry have already occurred online for the US site. I bought these Farandole earrings a couple of months ago for $10k even. These Adage earrings were $30,900 recently.

I noticed there were some unannounced increases in jewelry recently (many pieces), those weren’t tariff related. They will increase them further on May 1st.

Even with the sky-rocketing gold prices the actual gold value of the FJ is much less than the retail price.

Definitely feels bad knowing that nowadays CAD software is used to mass manufacture FJ, so the only real thing the artisan does is to set the stones using some very sophisticated tools.

Yes, they did increase them quietly a few weeks ago, before the tariffs, and after their annual price increase. Very sneaky.

Plus all their FJ items can be found brand new on resale discounted 60-70 percent since they are also Birkin bait.

It will be interesting to see what the increase is as it may give a hint or confirm the cost vs retail mark-up.

Their markup is generally 10-12x. My friend produces some of their bracelets. Another friend abroad sells them silk, huge production facility.

The May 1st increase is only for the US, thanks to the upcoming tariffs and the company wanting to offset the cost.

I wonder how much the increase will be. I’m tempted to pick up the FJ piece I have my eye on before the price increase in May. I didn’t plan on purchasing until later this year but now I’m not sure I want to wait 🥴

None of these brands care; as long as they keep selling, the more money they can get, the better. They are not having significant decreases to be worried. However, some started laying off people, they are postponing projects (as sustainability), store openings.

To quote the meme…
