Price Increase 2025

Yes it is approaching a certain price point where one has to ask if it is even worth it. The bag premium makes sense to me, I am a sucker for the idea of a single artisan making it. But the rest? Not as much
I am starting to feel like they saw tariffs as an opportunity to pull a Chanel on us (fast and swift increases back to back based more on some brand strategy than anything else)

That’s because jewelry is great “Birkin bait” when building your profile. Customers will buy something hoping it will lead to a bag offer and then they end up realizing they don’t love their bracelet or whatever, and sell it at a loss. The reseller market is flooded with FJ pieces so the prices stay in line and are often less than regular price at H
I’ve touched on the topic of resellers many times. I don’t think most of these customers who intentionally buy bait sell bc they don’t love the item. I think they intended to resell their bait from the get go. Many of the jewelries have been giftable or excellent condition. I myself just picked up another item at 60%+ off thanks to someone who bought for prespend. A great bargain given the latest increase. I don’t think we will see as many pre spend items going forward given the costs of of the prespend and the bags. Plus I think the brand has jumped the shark.

Did anyone notice that there is no more free shipping anymore once the price goes over $2k? For me, it started on a March order and I didn’t catch it. But I had an order yesterday and I couldn’t opt out of the $35 fed ex charge.

I am getting a very bad taste about all of this. A luxury brand that always had free shipping, has been increasing and increasing prices, and now no longer giving us free shipping on a couple of scarves or smalls.
Pretty gross.

Yes and I asked my SA why do I have to pay $35 shipping for almost all items this year (first noticed it end of Feb) and not in the previous years. My SA said it’s a new policy that took place in this year. Anything over $2,000. Even online order, it will automatically add on for 2nd days service to avoid missing package. For my store, my SA said they try to transfer all the items in for my appointment as much as they can, so I can avoid the shipping fee. But some items still need to be shipped directly from the other stores/online to my house.

Interesting and good to know, thank you.
So all this for fear of missing packages. Hmmm I’m not buying it. It’s a profits cushion. FedEx is not usps or ups. I’ve never heard of issues with fedex.
So we already have to sign. And we can not “manage” a fed ex delivery on FedEx site to alter it at all! Cant have a neighbor sign if on third failed attempt. Can’t move the address at all if you miss the first or second attempt. Hermes won’t let me do a store pick up from online because Boston doesn’t accept store pick ups. Lastly can’t do a pick up at a fed ex location even!!
Every single restriction available from FedEx is literally enabled on these H packages, yet we customers now need to cover the cost for a mythical “lost” package problem. Not buying it.

Sounds like they want to reduce shipping fees on their end, and increase in-store traffic.
Possible for sure. And to clarify this is not me arguing with you . It’s my rant on H.
If the case, then H needs to do more surveys to customers about service and satisfaction of all their stores to get the 411. H doesn’t know how bad the Boston store is. The SA’s are brutal bad with contact. But mostly about getting the order done at all. SA says they are putting name in for silk orders coming, and then nothing. No contact. Ever again. Way too many SA’s who know nothing at all about silks department. The buyer for silks isn’t great. Way too many designs are not even ordered for the store, or not enough. Gone are the good old days I could order and ship from California or New York stores, and even once did a store down south, NC I think. That was great!

Ok end rant. I’m not usually this big of a complainer but it’s at these prices from a “luxury” brand that is making me particularly irate. It’s my one indulgence and this bad taste is leaving me with moving away to something else I guess. And for sure to the resell market. I know I know H won’t miss me 🤣 and first world problems. It’s all fine.
I got a nice email ( after emailing them my opinion on the shipping charge) saying if I chose to return any items in this order that they will (generously) send me a free return shipping label for my satisfaction.
