Price Increase 2025

Went to the store today and was told 5%, so not 10.
I think a lot of people are panic buying.
I asked about bags as and was shown everything else including expensive jewelry. I was told now is a good time to buy. I wouldn’t have cared if it was for the fact that I didn’t have an offer in a while and that my SA told me that B sellier was discontinued and they didn’t get any more since the beginning of the year. This has been the bag on my wish list since 2022… I was not offered one from this SA. Got 2 other QB but not the wish list item.
So I am upset of the lack of transparency and communication.
They are definitely taking advantage of the price increase.
I got a $60 book only. I seriously thinking of only shopping in Paris now.

I was recently in my home store and felt the same way. The shop was much fuller than it usually is during the week, and I heard associates mentioning the looming price increase to customers. I also saw a lot of non-quota bags being offered. I honestly think sales are down across the board and stores are enjoying this FOMO energy from customers worried about getting items before the increase.

I wonder if H will drop the price once France settles on a deal with the US. Usually price goes up and never comes down unless demand starts to wane. I recall the some of the 90cm scarves came down years ago after hiking to $450 then back to $415.

As of this morning (Sat), cashmere shawl is 'still' $1375. Monday is probably the date of the price since it is the start of the week and just in time to catch Mother's day sale.

Another data point: SA said they would happen over the course of next week, different days & %s across the metiers, but wouldn't get any more specific 😂
