most of my LV's are bought in europe when on holiday, made in france with an exception of a cosmetic pouch, made in spain bought in the US. it does not matter if it is MIF, MIS, MIU, at the end of the day it's Louis Vuitton we LvOe.

So, I know this isn't a bag question, but has anyone ever seen fake LV sunglasses that are stamped "Hand Made in Italy"? I know that some LV sunglasses are actually made in Italy, but I was curious if anyone had seen someone try to pass off fakes stating they are made there? I should probably just have the ones I found authenticated by CarolDiva (if she even does sunglasses?), but I figured I'd get opinions here first!

HAND made in Italy?

I think from a resale POV, MIU will become more popular. As of now, the really good fakes are in MIF and some are MIS. When I see those, even with a receipt, I am honestly skeptical because of the ole' swoop and swap deal. If I were to see a MIU bag on the pre-loved market I do feel more confident that the bag is authentic.

Personally, I really don't care since a) I know they are authentic LV and b) as long as the quality is great. I buy my items directly from LV and never pre-loved for that reason.

I do not like the tag in the seam on MIU, otherwise, I do not have an issue from whence the item originates. From a sentimental point of view, being LV is an old French atelier, and as a collector, I prefer MIF. But honestly, I have not detected a difference in quality MIF vs. MIS vs. MIU.

My concern is the day we see MIC, MII or a third world country imprinted on labels even though it is likely part of production is offshore already.

I have noticed, and I am sure someone can prove me wrong, but for th Speedy bags in DE, I have noticed that they are all made in USA? Me. along with about 6 other people I know who own one they are all made in USA? Maybe because we live in USA? Idk just a random thought...

If pre-loved MIF has higher resale, there's a bit of irony bc it's likely that a MIF or MIS bag was purchased for far less than a MIU one (when consider international prices and conversion rates).

MIF/MIS/MIU can be purchased in U.S, but outside of the States (where LV bags generally cost less), you're pretty much guaranteed to get MIF or MIS.

Sorry I just read my post and I didn't mean to say that all MIF or MIS are purchased for less... Obviously there are many bags sold in US that are made in those countries.. But more popular LV bags (speedy) seem to be made in States

It is my understanding that there is a demand in Asia for MIU bags.

My Speedy in DE is MIF and was bought in the US.

I would probably still get in authenticated. I'm not sure if I've ever seen fake LV sunglasses. My sunnies bought at an LV boutique says hand Made in Italy.
