If it bothers you that much, you'll never really be happy with the bag and it'll be hard for you to enjoy it, so I'd say return it. Just be cognizant of the fact that it may take a while to find a Made in France Batignolles.

I understand where your coming from, I love the Made in France on my items from Louis Vuitton. It seems like the traditional thing to have since Louis Vuitton started making bags in France and that's where he learned all his skills. But all Louis Vuitton factories are amazing, and the people making the items do it with the utmost care. I wouldn't return the bag just because it was made in the USA though. You should enjoy it and not worry about that small detail, it's still Louis Vuitton!

there really is no difference. i never even realized this was an issue until i came here, lol. though i have to admit, with my last bag, i was slightly happier than usual to see "made in france" imprinted on the label...stupid, i know, and it makes no difference, but i like seeing it under the LV name. :shrugs:

OK girls (and guys),

I need your help. Just purchased a Batignolles from Saks. I was sorely disappointed when I inspected the bag (as I'm sure we all do) and saw that it was made in the U.S.A. Let me be the first to say that I am proud to be an American, but half of the allure for me of buying an LV is that perfectly imprinted "made in France." I immediately went back into Saks and they explained that a lot of the monogram is now made in the States to keep up with demand. I also called 866vuitton and the gentleman explained the same thing to me. He assured me that bags made in the U.S.A. are held to the same quality standards as the company originally set. It''s just a matter of demand and getting it to the consumer more quickly. But, even after all that I really want to take my bag back. Am I overreacting?!?!?! Should I just transfer my stuff from my Lockit (which was made in France) and just enjoy my new baby? What do you guys think?

i would say, if it bothers u, jst return it. U hv all the right to be a happie customer.

I have to say that I never really thought about it until I hit some threads here. My Damier Speedy is made in the USA and it's one of my favorite bags. I just want a beautiful well made LV. And I want it made by well paid craftsmen. As long as LV doesn't move their workshops to India or China I'll be happy.
