Definitely count me in Kara! Do you want to coordinate it?

Lots of people here don't fill out their profiles that it's hard to know that we have so many PFers in our backyards!! I didn't realize it until the NM opened!!

Boxermom: I call Sam my menopause baby. He's mostly Australian Shepherd with some rogue mixed in. I adore him. Check out his website. That's the true mark of a dog freak: I made him a website, but my daughter doesn't have one!
Sam's World

I keep saying I need to update it a little but I just love his pics. Maybe an second webpage?

No. None of the NM in the country takes Visa except for the one in Vegas and MAYBE one more. I was so excited when I went to the one in Vegas because I use my Visa debit for all my purchases so it was easy to buy things. Yesterday, I just used cash to buy my Chanel bag because I knew they wouldn't take Visa.

I just read Sam's website. OMG, it brought tears to my eyes. You see, our last boxer was named Sam, and he died unexpectedly last year (seizures that couldn't be controlled). We don't know how old he was because we adopted him from a boxer rescue group in IL. He was the best dog ever. He would talk to us just like Scooby Doo. When our new house is finished we hope to adopt another dog.

How is Sam feeling now? One of our dogs had liver problems, but he lived to be quite old (for a boxer--11+ yrs). Sam is just gorgeous and looks so happy to be around his people. I LOL at the herding part. I've heard (no pun intended!) that about some shepherds--if they don't have animals to herd, they will do it with people. Wish I could see that someday.

Looks like Sam won the lottery by getting your family!

Best wishes,
Pat

I can't believe that about NM - what a joke - I am glad you refused to bow to their blackmail!!

Was it a Prada bag - cos if so I seriously think you and Prada are not mean't to be after all the hassles you've had! :p

Yessiree, The Perils of Prada continue! It's not all bad though. DH and I went back yesterday to really tour the store. Knowing I won't be buying from them but using them strictly for hands-on reference on bags I'm considering elsewhere is a pretty good setup.:graucho:

They had another bag on Friday that I went nuts for in black, but I'm not a black bag person. Having seen the dark brown IRL, I'm really not that crazy about that color either. Sometime after I left on Friday and before I went back yesterday, they put one out on the shelf in the tan/beige color that I'm crazy over. I wrote the style number down and plan to call my SA at Bob Ellis to see if he can scare it up for me. ;)

If that bag doesn't work out, I've got my new MJ and am really loving his bags the more I see of them. I spent more time at the MJ boutique yesterday than Prada! I may just convert totally to MJ. My only complaint is that while the metal work on the MJ bags is awesome, it gets HEAVY, but I think I can deal with that.:wlae:

You can't go the dark side - you will have to change your user name!!

Maybe this Prada will actually work out........

Nope! The Prada gods are working against me overtime: I checked on that bag with Bob Ellis yesterday: no such bag in their inventory. That's OK, my Cashew MJ Hobo Stam is on the local delivery truck as we speak! We'll see how that goes later. ;)

Hey Prada Psycho, I was so pleased to see this thread, as I am in Charlotte and was dying to take a 'visit' to the NM store at South Park. My boyfriend kept flicking me, he had a twinkle in his eye as he whispered, "Guess what...NM opens in 3 days...2 days...1 day..." There was a company function and I was out of town for a couple of days, so I missed the opening. I'm gearing up to go this weekend...I'm psyched. Of course, I blinked a couple of times when I read this thread. NO VISA?? Okay, well that bums me out.

I'm originally from New York City, just moved here to Charlotte 4 months ago, and I've run the mill from Bergdorffs, Saks, to Henri Bendel, and I've ALWAYS been able to use my Visa card.

Guess I'm going to have to dust off my check book...if I can even find the sucker.

^^^Yes, Southpark is an outing for DH and myself. We are in Gaston County (Redneck Central, as I call it), so it's only around 45 minutes for us. I completely enjoy going to Southpark. It's upscale but not over the top, though NM has really opened the gate to making more upscale stores look at putting shops there I suppose. I hope it doesn't get too high-brow. Southpark opened when I was in high school and was a pretty "basic" sort of mall at the time. Over the years it's gotten more and more pricey. While I like places like Ann Taylor, Nordies and the boutique shops like Brighton, Bob Ellis and Perry's Jewelry, NM isn't normally a place I'd be buying from even IF they took Visa. ;)
