Yep. And as an owner of four Ricky bags, I have no doubt the one I referenced back in 2012 was fake. I was looking for a black Ricky. Only I wanted a real one. LOL!
As far as more recent responses, I do think it's important for people to realize portero has listed inauthentic items, like the Ricky I referenced.
As has
Fashionphile. Get everything you like authenticated. The Ricky I referenced was a very good fake. But as a long time owner of several, was pretty easy easy to spot. I was disappointed. I really wanted a black one.
I think a lot of other people realized it as well. An authentic black Ricky bag would have been snatched up quickly. Portero doesn't realize people are more savvy than they think.
No matter who the company is, get your item authenticated! Portero is like other sites. They sell for numerous sellers, like Fashionphile and Mallories, without decent authentication.
Don't assume a fancy website means authenticity. It does not. Nor do posts on the forum, nor does membership on the forum.
Do your homework.
Plenty of "reputable websites" have fancy verbiage that mean nothing. People that insist on authenticity here? Also nothing. If you don't have reputable authentication, it's meaningless. A lot of people have insisted their bags on this forum are authentic and it's been proven are not in this very site. Scammers are VERY good at what they do
There are hundreds of eBay listings with fake bags with people who are "members" of the forum. They have caught on very quickly. Don't be duped. Always authenticate.
