Well at least I now know mine is not defective since other members have confirmed their PH does not have the d-ring either...although I really wish it did have one as it would be more convenient for my cles.

Depending on the date it was produced, the newer PH do NOT have the D-ring...lovely miss Ayla explained that for us here:

The D-ring was discontinued in October of 2005

My PH has a D-ring. I bought it at LV at Short Hills - the date code is SD 0055.
