@poleneinblack "thanks for sharing these videos"

I'm still on the fence about ordering the Chalk.. any thoughts/comments would be appreciated
& helpful
I believe @poleneinblack has black, taupe and chalk, so she would be in a great position to share her thoughts :D
I have only seen the cyme in chalk in real life myself (and I believe it’s a different leather from the neuf whereby cyme is more ?textured while neuf is definitely a pebbled leather) and it came across as a very very very light grey, kind of a grey ish white which is beautiful. I’ve also heard other people describe their chalk bags as a white with slight grey undertone.

There really is just a few weeks left to consider the Chalk as a summer bag.
I'm thinking more of Chalk as being as accent from September going forward as the
weather starts to get cooler I'm more inclined to start wearing fall like colors & I lean
more towards black early November & going forward til spring arrives & then the Chalk
would be really serviceable . I already have the taupe which I adore & really as an all year
round color

Hi may i ask, what size would you get the Chalk in? I am thinking of getting another mini neuf in camel or chalk. Leaning more towards Camel at the moment.

The large size. It works well with my proportions & holds what I need..
I have a beautiful Camel bag . Was thinking about the Black but wanted something
newer in a color that I don't have & Chalk is a candidate

Wow, the Swiss price is only 425 francs, which is about $450USD. I like the tobacco color and in some ways prefer this MM bag to the Neuf. But I have to see it in person before deciding.
The detail on the side of the bag is a detachable logo butterfly that can be used as a pendant
& the metal butterfly rivet on the side complete the model. Screw cap, according to MM's description
from the link you provided.. Not liking the strap with WEEKEND stamped on it.. Not sure about the size?
I'll stick to the Polene Neuf.. LOL

I received my Neuf in Cognac today.
The bag is so beautiful, and I think it will go so well with my autumn/winter wardrobe  View attachment 5588661
What a rich color. It’s perfect for Fall, though of course good for any season. I love this bag. If I were to get a Polene, it would definitely be the neuf in the larger size.

Oops, sorry for the late response! I have had notifications turned off. What are you wondering about regarding the chalk?

To be honest, when I looked at the taupe and the chalk side by side, the chalk seemed less impressive under indoor lighting. Like others have mentioned, it's a washed out gray white, not bright as all. However, it looks very nice to me under the sunlight, where its not blinding. The sunlight really makes the color look nice.

I wear a lot of black and dark colors, which is why I got taupe and white. The chalk white definitely works for summer and winter. I wear my chalk huit as a cute summer bag but it also stands out very nicely with my black and dark winter ensembles. My chalk neuf feels very fancy when I wear it out but I can also throw a surprising amount of things in there and treat it like a tote. If you're only considering one or two colors I would recommend black and taupe over chalk, but if you're like me and you want to avoid spending money on non-neutral colors, chalk is a great choice. I feel like it goes with everything. The colors I picked will never clash with anything imo.

I will also add that it depends on the design you want? I personally think the Huit looks better in taupe and the Neuf looks amazing in Chalk. I got all three colors for each because I'm crazy but I wouldn't recommend it to others.

Feel free to send me any other questions you might have!

For me out of all the styles that Polene offers, the Numero Neuf offers the most versatility.
I'm not a shoulder bag kinda gal I much prefer handheld bags either on my wrist or in the crook
I carry most of my bags that way.
I was really attracted to the softness of the Neuf & the architectural design of the shape & folds.
I live like many 6 months with fall/winter & the rest of the year "hot".
And it sounds like you have been through cold weather with your Chalk & its working
Does it getting that dirty white look if you know what I mean rubbing up against dark clothes?
So was wondering what your impressions of wearing Chalk a good 12 months out of the year
& so you more or less have answered my question which I appreciate. Thanks again:smile:

I'm in california so I haven't experienced cold weather with the Chalk yet. However, I did get color transfer on the chalk once from some jeans and all it took was wiping it with a slightly damp paper towel. I'm not worried about color transfer at all. I think the unique shade of the Chalk also means it won't look dirty in the same way that a bright white bag would.
