We just came back from 10 days in Paris and spent a lot of time in the Bon Marche department store, which features a Polene boutique. Wow. Every day the line for Polene was huge and lasted all day -- in comparison, the other bag brand boutiques there (LV, Dior, Bottega Veneta, etc) were empty. One day I counted 20 people in line shortly after the store had opened. I was interested in checking out the new larger Nodde bag, but not THAT interested. (at any rate, the color I wanted was and still is out of stock)
Instead, I went to the Le Tanneur store on the rue de Sevres, across the street from the Lutetia Hotel, and bought a medium Emilie bag. Am happy with the decision. They have a special that you get a free wallet with bag purchase, but only if you fill out a form with all your personal details (home address, date of birth, phone number, email address, etc). I have plenty of wallets already so I declined the offer; moreover, the retail industry isn't known for having the strongest data protection systems.
