I have a few similar bags, all called 'Horsebit Chain'. I have 2 Horsebit Chain shoulder bags a and a clutch, perhaps this is the Boston version (?).

They were launched 2002 but stayed around for few years the mid-00s Designed my Frida Giannini but under Tom Ford. Please make sure it's authentic ;)

Thank you as always, PT! You may want to sit down for this - I had it authenticated BEFORE I purchased it! I know, pretty shocking and sensible compared to my normal MO, but true! Iadmireyoo kindly checked it out for me earlier.

Sadly, I had to pass on a bag just like the one on yoogiscloset but in ivory ostrich with dark brown trim, just gorgeous. Even more painful: the large python Indy I would have readily paid more for, lost due to a distraction. I lie to myself and say it was a fake.:pout:

Well done, and BTW, while I was looking up something completely unrelated I saw the bag in green leather in the official book Gucci: The Making of. Pretty sure it's called the Horsebit Chain Boston but the book doesn't say either, really love it, so bold, so Gucci :cool:

Well, we can't have everything...:rolleyes:

Would anyone happen to know what year and collection this Gucci bag is from? I purchased it from Yoogi's and it looks brand new. I know it is the Abbey Pocket Tote.

I know lots of mid-00s bags had patterned lining, first the horse-bit lining (around '05) and after, sometimes the stripe. This colour will be Summer collection. I can't give you the exact date because it wasn't a fashion collection piece but there is something quite SS'07 about it :shrugs: (going by gut instinct rather than actual proof :fox:)
