After having drawn upon the expertise of the amazing Iadmireyoo in the authentication thread and had my lovely companion approved, I now wanted to seek your help with a little background knowledge for my very first Gucci. 
- Is this treasure a Tom Ford-era bag, if it was bought back in 1997/1998?
- Does it have a specific reference name, by chance?
- I adore the leather - but what type of leather would it be made of?

Yes TF, but later, about 1999/2000
It closely resembles a Peggy but I think it was named mid00s
Looks like thick calves leather, a bit like Hermes Swift
Please help! I just bought this back on fashionphile.com and it arrived today but now I'm worried if this is a real design. (It's marked sold because I bought it)

the date code says 232971 002404
It appears in good condition, but the white piping lining around the bottom seems to bend a little instead of laying perfectly flat.

i posted this a long time ago I wonder if anyone could help me especially with the second one the brown with desperate need of repair is it worth fixing to sell or even to keep ....do you have any idea the name of it and when it was from i think i got it in the 90's or 80's ....HELP!!!

Depending on the size it's either called a Boston (hand) or a duffel (travel)
Can't tell the age without looking at the inside and some of the features

1. Mini or Small Jackie in swirl velvet print (original designed early 1960s) from around 2000
2. Bamboo-print half-moon hobo (Designed originally as a unisex travel bag and then made smaller for women) Mid-00s
Need help Identifying this style of Gucci...it looks like the Flora but I've never seen it with stripes before. Don't know if it was a limited edition. Do any of you know the name and or year? I was told maybe 2006-2007 summer..tried the tag number but nothing comes up. Would appreciate your expertise. Thank you in advance!

A friend asked me to help her sell her Gucci bag on eBay. I know close to nothing about purses, so any information (model, year, etc.) on this shoulder bag would be greatly appreciated. My friend mentioned that her brother purchased the bag in Hong Kong and gave it to her when he visited her here in the States.

Strange, it's neither a Diana tote (Diana's more square) nor Diana shoulder bag nor a Peggy either (both only have a single bamboo handle).
SS 2006 is a good guess as there were striped T-shirts on the catwalk, although these bags were not catwalk pieces. SS 2007 also might fit, the colour were very very similar
Stripes are a big iconic feature of Gucci bags, so please don't worry on that score. certainly not a more ltd ed than any other Gucci bag. Check out this season's men's http://www.gucci.com/us/styles/312048KIG2W4964#
