Please HELP Style my Hermes Bag / Scarf / Jewellery / RTW Thread for ALL

Hi!
I have recently acquired a number of scarves (it is a slippery slope indeed!) and, while it is very easy for me to wear some of them, I feel the more “colorful” ones I struggle to find clothes to combine them with. What is your “strategy” when wearing scarves? Combining with a plain black/ white sweater or you prefer, for instance, playing with the colors of the scarf and the shirt?

I prefer to wear scarves with a white button down shirt or a dark top and neutral or the same colour bottoms. I also think they look good with an all white , black or other monochromatic outfit that draws on a colour in the scarf.
I agree with CMilly. I tend to dress in neutrals/black/cream tones so the colorful scarves really add a pop of color to my outfits. Scarves are a very slippery and soft slope indeed. Have you gotten or seen Mountain Zebra in person yet? The colorways are very vibrant.
I let the "shawl" stand out with either white or black underneath & very often when wearing my shawl
tend to go more monochromatic & will carry my Kelly & draw a color from the shawl & wear shoes that
pull the color as well
+1 for all neutral (white, black, grey, dark navy) outfit and drawing color from the scarf.
My other strategy, which happens to fit with my personal preference for scarf, is to choose those that have a wide range of color combination (i.e. my peuple du vent are blue, yellow and teal, my cosmo is pink purple aqua etc) and less monochromatic. They usually provide great pop of colors and have so many colors option to go with any outfit you choose.

I discovered Saint James striped shirts several years ago. The patterned scarves work extremely well with the width of these stripes. 
It does indeed! The only “bad” thing is most of my clothes are black/ color, I guess I will have add some white/ beiges...

Ever since my slide down the H slippery slope began, I find myself choosing more solid colored tops to highlight my scarves like these outfits. Of course a solid white tailored shirt is always a good start to a silky day!
I don’t think there’s any totally wrong way to do it. The eyes are instantly drawn to the scarf. I also like to do complementary colors (like a purple shirt or sweater to a scarf with greens) sometimes.
