fedex doesn't offer insurance ..when you mail out a package you can declare the value but other than that i don't think so...as for a lawyer im going to try and leave that as my last resort...thank you for all your thoughts

this happened to me with my usps package..there was absolutely nothing I could do since all the claims people were sooooooo rude..I too lost a few thousand...and also some priceless memories...

I truly think that when you insure packages for large amounts of money.....those are the ones that mysteriously disappear! I've never had an eBay item not show up except for the one that was insured for over $200. It was mailed and then there was no trace of it! I sure hope it works out for you. What an awful thing to experience!
