definitely classic flap because it's so classic and timeless. You can use it with casual or dressier clothing. I also bought a black classic flap in lambskin s/h several months ago as my first Chanel bag.

classic flap- all that yummy leather. the Paris b line, i believe, is not leather. i could be wrong but it didn't feel like leather when i touched it. good luck on your first bag. i am planning my next purchase already and i'm pretty sure it will be a flap.

i love the paris biarritz, but i think you should go with the classic flap for your first chanel bag.
