nvie - I'm concerned about your statement of the ballon bleu in 10-15 years. All Cartier watch styles were new once! I have 2 ceramic j12s that may not be "in" in 10-15 years. But I was really hoping the ballon bleu would be a classic.

Hmm, maybe I'm just conventional, I like the shape of Ballon Bleu but don't like the large crown. I prefer the normal sized crowns.

Jonathan Jay - same thoughts, Omega, Rolex, Chopard, Cartier, JLC. All good watchmakers...tough choice.

I would still go back to Rolex. I think you can't go wrong with all steel/white gold Rolex...even if it's without diamond markers, go for the classic Roman numerals. Have you considered buying leather strap for the Rolex? Sorry if I'm confusing you even more.

If you want to bring in resale value into the picture for consideration.....even you do not intend to sell, consider it for upgrading later....Rolex is best. Keep in mind the percentage of discounts you get for those brands....it means higher demand watches have less discounts. JLC is 30% here in Asia as it's resale value is really low.

hi girls i think im going for the JLC reverso, im just choosing between two kinds, the reverso florale in pink face or the reverso lady jewellery in silver dial? any suggestions? dont know how to post pics so sorry ifi cudnt describe them well. im just wondring if i should go for a quartz or manual hand winding? any thoughts? thank you so much!

Hi guys, thank you so much for the help, I decided to by my wife a Jaeger reverso jewelry in steel strap but also bought her a pink croc strap since she wants to ba a legally blonde lawyer :D
