I absolutely love going through this thread; the wealth of knowledge in this group and the generousity to share it with others is so impressive! I have been assembling a small collection of mostly vintage H pieces and have one (ok, several, but I am going to start with 1) that I'm curious about. This one is a Sorbonne (although maybe the name is not that straightforward based on this earlier post!), but I'm unsure on the leather/color. It is quite rigid, so my guess was Ardennes?

Thank you so much, very informative as always!

I was drawn to it because it's such a wonky style, but I actually get a surprising amount of use out of it! It's very narrow, but makes a great laptop bag for days when I'm not carrying much else.

Is this really Togo as advertised? The veins look different to me but not sure - what could it be? They say Kiwi and that it is from 2008, but Togo to my knowledge looks more even?

Togo can be completely smooth with no veins and then it can have veins. My suggestion to you is take a look at the bags in the clubhouse and check out all the different leathers, colors, etc. to learn.
Here is a pic of my veined Kelly.IMG_1078.jpeg

The colour is Vert Anis and the leather is indeed Togo! ;)

Note: Besides the fact that Kiwi wasn’t available in 2008, I also don’t
recall it coming in Togo now that I think about it…

Does anyone know much about this bag? I think it’s called the Valentin or valentine, it’s from 2001 and the listing indicated that it was box leather rouge H.image.jpg

This is indeed a Sac Valentin in Rouge H. The leather looks more like Chamonix to me than Box Calf. This was a very popular bag for that production year.;)
