Thank you! Apologies, the black leather is not Togo, but rather Vachette Ardennes. The other leather is Chamonix. So, this is a Black Vachette Ardennes + Naturel Chamonix Kelly. :flowers:

I cannot see the hardware or other details of the bag very well, but from what I can see, it looks like this could actually be from earlier than the 90s.
Thank you for your reply. This is so helpful . The letter stamp is L in a circle

I just got this vintage handbag and have been trying to find similar ones to gain info. I’ve only been able to track down a few, and they seem to have different handles; either rounded with no stitching at the bottom and one seam on the inside or the more flat design with two seams and stitching around the bottom.

Anyway. I’m curious as to whether this is box and if the model has an actual name. The leather feels softer than my previous 1964 Kelly retourne in black box but maybe that’s because of the more rigid design of the Kelly bag 🤔

This is an accordion style design with internal pocket and the “Hermes, Paris” stamp pointing to the 60s. The inside is lined in buttery soft leather which I assume is lamb skin. Back of hardware is simply stamped “Hermes”. No blind stamp as far as I can tell.

Any help is much appreciated ❤️

Could be earlier. The contrast stitching and 'sportiness' is also in keeping, reminds me of this https://www.vestiairecollective.com...ZsNX2U7W6DmmLOEVAnkvXlCX5wdbl4CIaAuY-EALw_wcB but hand-held and without the Princess / Arceau catch (which I have on a late 1940s/1950s clutch - but with corded piping)

Interesting - thank you very much for your input. I just assumed it’d be 60’s due to the “Hermes Paris” stamp instead of the earlier one with the address included.

Checked my old Mondes and could not find a name for this bag, but the leather is indeed Box Calf (actually, the reflection on the bag is a good indicator of this ;))! Many bags like this were made in the 60s, but it could be from earlier. My mother has a Box Calf Kelly from 1957 and it has this sort of stamp. Standardisation at Hermès wasn't really standardised until quite recently. Lovely bag!

It could easily be '60s, I was just trying to join the dots, flap to hardware. I know contrasting stitching was big in the '50s on more sporty bags (inspired by cartridge and other type sports bags). Hermes was more trad. and followed proper etiquette. Many vintage bag models went for decades. I wanted to follow the bag's hardware and features en route to a bag we could get the name of.

Hi all! I’m super excited as this is my first Hermes piece and my dream bag. She’s from 1977 with a circle G stamp. Can you confirm if this is Rouge H? I want to buy a strap as mine didn’t come with one.

Beautiful! Would you mind providing two more pictures: one showing the stitching up close and a second showing the interior lining (would be even better if the lining picture showed the zipper/zipper fabric as well). Thank you. :flowers:

Hi, I bought this Hermes Birkin 35 in ardennes leather second hand. The seller indicated it as blue. Is this blue sapphire or bleu roi? I have seen pictures of similar bags online, some is listed as blue sapphire some is listed as bleu roi (I assume it is same as blue roy). Two colors look very similar. Thank you!
