Having stayed in Korea for 5 years, I would personally not recommend anyone to go to Gr*nd, J* and J*welry. Korea has plastic surgery cafes (kinda like a forum but a community? Most of them are private because they do not want promoters from hospitals to be part of their community as they will discuss prices, hospitals and their specialities) and these 3 are one of the top blacklisted hospitals. Sure, they are huge and they provide translations etc... But their main customers are foreigners and not Koreans. Another thing to note is that for nose job, prices range from 2.3mil to 2.8 (depends on complexity) and up to 3.5mil(for hospitals that re more specialised). Do take note that as a foreigner, you will never ever pay the local price unless you have a local go with you. However, a nose job that cost 4milion and above is obviously a ripoff. My korean friends who had tip+rhinoplasty paid only 2.8mil... For basic alarplasty reduction the price ranges from (300,000-600,000).

By the way I do not recommend anyone to do zygoma/malar /vline contouring etc... I know that everyone desires to have that small face however when age catches up with you, thats when the side effect hits you. I have read many korean cafes and many have already seen the side effects, having problems to chew/weak jaw etc. The most dangerous procedure is zygoma because if the surgeon does not do a good job, it may affect your nerve system and you will end up with a paralyse cheek. I was contemplating to get zygoma because I didn't like my wide cheekbones but after getting advices from Korean friends who are able to translate articles to me and also my dermatologist in korea- I asked her opinion and she just told me to live with it because she personally feels that the media glamourises small face beauties thus everyone thinks that it is safe to get their faces shaved. However, they are not educated about the side effects and the complexity of such surgeries.

If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Hello,

can you please tell how much fat you still have?

Do anyone know if you need to hire a translator for the consultation? Does Koreans in Seoul speak English? Do i need to have a translator in my everyday life so that i can communicate with the locals?

Thanks in advance.

This was one of the big things I was worried about just being able to get food and stuff for everyday life and I think I wasted sooooo much of my trip because I was afraid to go out and actually SEE korea and this is one thing I DO NOT recommend doing. Don't stay in your room during your recovery. EXPLORE KOREA. I was in Korea for three weeks and I didn't get the courage up to actually explore until about my second to last week and by that time I had missed out on SO much. My first few days in Korea I didn't even eat any food because I was scared I wouldn't be able to communicate or ask how much something was. You DO NOT need a translator for every day life. Going to stores was super easy. Everything is priced and if you don't know how much the total is just look at the screen and hand them the money accordingly. If you need help don't be afraid to speak English. I found a lot of people in Korea know basic basic English and by pointing as well you can generally get your point across. Everyone I came across was extremely nice and also I found korea was super safe! I generally did all my shopping at night like between 12pm-4am and didn't feel unsafe at all walking the streets by myself. Also depending on where in Seoul you stay Korean DO NOT go to bed before 12 lol I remember going out my third night in Korea to finally go get food and I figured by going at like 2pm-3pm there would be no one on the streets and literally EVERYONE was still awake. Streets don't really get quite until about 4am-5am. Not that Koreans are noisy there late night scene is actually a lot quieter than where I live in the U.S. So no complaints there. As for taxis (which was my main form of transportation) just wave your hand or put your palm up when you see an empty taxi they'll generally stop for you and all taxis in korea take cash and cards! Though I found it was easier to just pay in Korean won.

Same here. But I've also started hearing a few bad reviews of them the more I look. So the combination of them not replying and me finding scare-stories really makes me lose interest.
You mentioned you started to hear some negative reviews of Banobagi, could you please let me know the link that mentioned negative reviews on them. I'm planning to go there in 5 months and wanted to do more research on them. Thank you!

If you research this forum you will see there are actually quite a few forummers who have written their experiences on Banobagi both good and bad, so you should try to search for the through the post of forummers. From my research I know that asin, pikapikachu,
reiyuna. Valenrina have some form of bad experiences/reviews on Banobagi, so you can check their profiles and posts. Good luck!

be careful though about the lifting, it may cause ur face to look more wide? like stretched out. You can try to intimate the look by pulling back the skin and u notice that ur face looks stretched wide. I got micro liposuction on my face in Korea at a clinic and it sharpened my jawline and since we are young my doctor said I didn't need any lifting. ( Be careful, i feel the doc is trying to make u go through something that more expensive that could be done alternatively)
can you describe the recovery process of your microliposuction? I just got a fat transfer procedure to my face and she overfilled. Can let me know? thanks!
