Hi all,

I am thinking of getting double eyelid surgery in Korea in December.
I read in the post that clinics would usually charge much higher through email compared to when you walk in.
However, I am worried that because December is peak period, I will not be able to get a slot in one of the clinics.

Just wondering, if I decide to go mid December (e.g. around 15th or 16th) is it possible to walk in and still be able to perform consultation and the surgery without booking? How busy are the clinics usually?

Thanks so much!

December is a peek month in Korea for plastic surgery so although you may be able to walk in for a consultation (mind you you'll be waiting a few hours to get in especially at big clinics) you will probably not be able to book your surgery for at least a week after..

Wouldn't recommend to walk in for consultations when you can easily book this in advance. Whether you are able to have surgery is hard to say and depends from clinic to clinic unfortunately.

Not sure what day 15 and 16 are, but would recommend you to plan you consults at the beginning of the week, so there is a bigger chance for you to have surgery that week and take advantage of healing during the weekend. When having consults at the end of the week and you cannot get surgery directly you will "lose" a few days.

I agree with everyone. Book your consults now. Choose the top 4 you wish to go to and then book them, you can always ask if you can get in right away. Some might ask for deposits. Double eyelid surgery is so common it doesn’t take a long time. Depending on the method you want. Just email them and ask. Remember the healing process takes a bit too. At least a month to wear make-up to cover fresh scars. Good luck!

Hi all,

Thank you so much for the replies!!!

I have done online consultations with a few and they mentioned that I would need ptosis correction. Does anybody know much about the procedure - specifically how long would it take to fully recover?
Would I be able to go out in 3 weeks post surgery without swelling?
Also what is the average price for a ptosis correction?

Also the clinics I am interested in are:
1) MVP
2) JW
3) The View
4) Teium

If anyone could please share their reivews or thoughts about these clinics, would be greatly appreciated.

Also just curious, what are the thoughts on these bigger hospitals/clinics? I am having a harder time finding reviews on them:
1) Dream
2) BK
3) WonJin
4) Mina

So sorry if this has been repeated! I am very new to this, and have scrolled 30 pages back but can't seem to find much.

Thanks again!

There is a DES thread here on the forum and you should be able to find many review on Dream, BK and to a lesser extent Wonjin. However, in my research I saw that for eyes specifically all 3 clinics actually have more relatively more negative than positive reviews. I would recommend that you research a lot more pages though, I am it is your eyes :)

Never hear of the clinic Mina though, where did you hear about that?

It’s recommended through Seoul medical guide but I personally haven’t heard of it either

Also I was quoted this by mvp:
Double Eyelid (Incision) 1,500,000 +10%
Ptosis Correction (Incision) 1,000,000+10%
Lateral Canthoplasty 650,000 +10%
Medial cantoplasty 650,000+10%

Would anyone happen to know if it’s reasonable?
I don’t want to get ripped off

Hi @pspspsps

MVP prices are very fair. 2.5 mill for inc des and ptosis correction is a really good price. JW and Teium are more expensive. Don't be surprised if they quote you almost double MVP prices. Eyelid swelling at MVP was for a few days to a week. Friends who had excision des at Teium had swollen lids for months! I would only recommend non incisional des at Teium. Good luck! I chose MVP as I am both a bargain hunter and perfectionist and Dr Seo at MVP is an expert at ptosis correction!

Hello @MissOrange !

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I just got a quote back from Teuim and i liked mvp’s much better.
with Teuim, I’ve hearf they’re better for tapered and natural while the look I’m going for is parallel so it wasn’t my first choice anyway.

If you don’t mind me asking, what procedures did you undergo with mvp?
Would you happen to know if they are good with parallel and larger looking eyes?

Also with swelling, would you say it would be fine to go out in public after 2.5 weeks?

This is my fourth post! Hehe I was wondering if anyone has heard of mini v line? I feel like it's a better option for more natural looking results and healing time. I think it is also cheaper! Please let me know if you have heard about this, and can give me info about price and best clinics to do this!

But I got some quotes from Girin yesterday.
They haven't seen my pictures yet, so I assume the prices are somewhat fixed. It's hard to communicate with them as they don't have a translator, but the consultant have okay English skills, so it isn't impossible.

Nose: KRW4,000,000 to KRW4,500,000
V-line: KRW6,000,000 to KRW7,000,000
Breast: KRW7,000,000 to KRW8,000,000

Btw, is there anyone who can explain me the difference between v-line and mini v-line?
I'm so confused now...
Hello this is very late but the difference is that in the mini v-line, only the chin is cut compared to the v line which is the jaw and the chin! It should be cheaper and less invasive but the results are not as dramamtic and it is more for people with blunt and round protruding chins rather than big jaws.

Do you think getting plastic surgery will affect how you age? Like in a bad way. I'm not talking about how you will look like now (obviously you will look beautiful at that moment because you are still young), but how will you look like as you age? I'm still kind of concerned.
