My fiancé just bought me a Sandrine bag for my birthday as well, from the 1970s. It's in crazy good condition but I was wondering how to make the chain a little big longer cause it's so nice to wear it as a crossbag. I saw a lady talk about a gold chain that she got to make it longer. Any idea where to find that or how to make it ?

(For fun, here it is in the hotel room styled with a vintage dress from the sixties hehe)

I love the whole look , couldn’t be better!
I‘m not sure that a gold chain would work aesthetically myself, too blingy for such a cool vintage bag . For me too much hardware.. Maybe use a Twilly or small scarf to extend the strap ?
I‘ll play around with mine because a longer strap option would be great.

Saw a Cordeliere here in TPF for the first time approx. 8 years ago. In white with GHW. I remember commenting that this was the most beautiful bag I‘d ever seen… ❤ Had been looking for a black one for the longest time. Here she is in black box, dating back to the 60‘s probably. Or even the 50‘s…?

Thank you!! Yes I am honestly impressed by the work of the craftsmen. Thanks to the recommendation of some members of this forum I gave her a second chance. All for the best I must say...Thank you all for your positive input.
I bought a 1956 Rouge H Kelly 35 that needed some work and am so glad I did. I love the history! She turned out beautifully, work done by Santana Leather. I am continually floored that a 65 year old bag is still around, looks good and is still functional.
