Rescued this poor beaten up girl born in 1963 from an unloving reseller. Wanted to give her a relaxed retirement for decorative purposes only....Watching this thread and admiring so much glory from the past I am debating toView attachment 5109183 give her another chance. With new handles and a bit of make up she might be willing to go back to work occasionally.
Looks more like cosmetic issues to me! If the handle is sturdy and not ripping off, a good clean up and a twilly on the handle and she can go anywhere! She deserves to live again!

Unfortunately her biggest issue actually is the weak handle...but I will get it fixed !!
Thank you for your encouraging statement. She really deserves another chance!20210613_224855.jpg

Another vote- she deserves a loving owner who will appreciate her and carry her with pride.
I’d love to see what you make of her ie: repairs, etc.

[/QUOTE This bag can absolutely be refreshed and have a new life <3

My Sac Sandrine from the 1970s (i think 1976?) im noir box calf. The leather is so beautiful and shiny and the leather lining is so incredible soft and luxurious. This is my first and only Hermes bag. I love the design of the strap. You can detach one end and you have the option to wear it on the long setting as a longer shoulder bag/short crossbody bag or double it up as a short shoulder bag. I also use a strap extender to wear it crossbody at the length that I like.

So cool, love the Sandrine!

1990's Trim in Cerf (deerskin), eBay find quite a while back. 1980 Kelly 28 in Box calf, purchased from a private seller maybe 8 years ago - might be my favorite bag, I have an unreasonable love for it. Both Rouge H.

That Kelly looks like in incredible condition. Love Rouge H, no wonder you are besotted.

On the rouge H theme, I didn’t share here this find from end last year. It is a Box Faco clutch from 1983. I got it for an amazing price an the nice thing is that it arrived on Christmas Eve, including a matching Zoulou coin purse as a gift and a note from the seller telling me that the purse had belong to her mother in law who was “a lover of beautiful things” and that she hope I would be too and enjoy carrying it. So lovely. It is in wonderful condition.

Love the Sandrine.

But you must be tiny if you can make it work for cross-body.

Is it a 28?
