I love that this bag was on someone's arm four years before Grace Kelly needed to cover her "bump" :smile: The hardware is quite a bit smaller than modern hardware (you can see this in the group shot), the handle is rounder and lower, and the stamp is a bit different.

Thank you. The condition is not exactly excellent, but the flaws are superficial only. It was my first “big” H bag, and admittedly still my favorite. I’m working on getting a new Kelly ;)

Just got a lovely vintage tote in black box leather - it looks surprisingly great and just has a few shallow nail marks/scratches. Would love to get any input on how much improvement I could expect from a trip to Hermes spa - for those who have sent pieces in, are you ever disappointed with result (as in, not much change) or have you found that shallow scratches are able to be buffed out? (the piece looks so good I'm wondering if it already went to the spa recently, or perhaps I was just lucky with the condition...) Thx!

I am also very curious about the criteria for double D ring addition. Just sent my 1989 BBK to Paris last month and it needs a handle replacement. I would love to wear my kelly with a shoulder strap without damaging the new handle.

Wow so what was it called back then? (Assuming the kelly name is after grace kelly?)
