Totally underwhelmed...
I find the price point very high for a new brand.
The high fashion minimalist sector is quite crowded actually, The Row, Helmut Lang, Peter Do, etc.
Some of the materials are cheap and disappointing; too much viscose... At this price point I expect 100% silk everywhere.

So the real question is, are there enough philophiles with pockets deep enough to sustain her brand over the long course...?

I feel I can make do with the stuff from COS if and want to achieve the same looks. Only the giant cabas are of any interest to me. I'll wait for them to hit resale, if they ever do...

I really did suspect the delay in the launch was due to this.

It wouldn't be surprising. Guess Philo has now been "forced" to use black models. If they took this time to reshoot for the website, that could have also lead to the launch delay.

Found this article that provides more context. If I am reading this correctly, Iman's experience took place in 2013.
