I may try the store credit. I did love "REY" but the chipping factor does have me thinking. I told my Mom about it and she wondered the same if I were to get a new one. The bag was over $1300 and I don't want to have to be careful or afraid when I wear it. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if. Y SA is working. If not I'll talk to a manager on Monday. Thanks for being so thoughtful.

No problem! I wish we had the option to get mon mono only on the front. I think that would help alot. I hope everything works out. :smile1:

We are so many now! Wow I was like "Noo not Rhonda too!". The idea did cross my mind on store credit but I really like this bag, it's so personal! Love my colors! I wouldn't want to get another bag that is by MIF now with all those w the ugly tag. So I rather give it a try again and if it does happen again then make sure to get store credit for sure making them aware when I get it.

I used the bag pretty regularly but I tried to rotate it with my other bags as well. We'll see what they have to say.

The tag is on MIUSA bags. Apparently it's because of a US law requiring them to disclose if the bag has imported materials. So MIF & MIS bags should not have the tag.

Doesn't the monogramming make the bag more difficult to sell/consign later? Or do you just love it so much you woud never think of givinmg it uip?

Yes, just check ebay or Bonanza. Most sellers don't get more than like $500-$700 for their used mon monograms and consignment stores will not buy them at all. So it's definitely a "I want this forever or someone else in my family has these initials" bag.

I just called my store to check on my bag and I told her at this point I'm afraid and I'd appreciate a store credit. If I get another one and the same thing happens again I'm gonna be pissed. I told her this. She said she was waiting to hear back by the end of today. I told her I'd researched online and the chipping isn't just a one time thing. Its a known issue. She said she would pass on that I prefer a credit to the person who's supposed to determine the state of my bag. We'll see what happens.

I'm so sad right now...

Ordered a Neverfull GM mon Monogramm at louisvuitton.de 2 weeks ago, but there occured a computer / server problem, and I got a call from the CS that I have to order it online again.
Unfortunatly waiting time for 6-8 weeks starts again :((((

And second: no numbers available for German mon monograms.....
The french headquarter deosnt want people to have numbers instead of letters....
Sad, because my DH wants to buy me a zippy mon monogram with our wedding date... 139 .... Think it would look pretty cool :(((

Ahhh! that does stink! Did you re-order? What colors did you pick? What size letters and stripes did you go with? :)
