It's free. At the NYC 5th Ave boutique it took them 10 days to personalize my passport holder and luggage tag. It was done in-house , but took long due to volume.

Personalization... as in heat stamping initials right?

If your boutique has a heat stamping boutique, it should take as little as an hour or a day, depending on how many other SLG's they have to heat stamp.

If your boutique doesn't have a heat stamping machine, it can take up to two weeks, depending on how many other SLG's they have to heat stamp.

do you know which boutiques in NYC can do heat stamping. i want to heat stamp my first LV when i get it.

Depends where you leave it. You would think a larger store would get it done faster. I left a tag at the flagship store in NYC 5th avenue. It took 4 weeks !!!!!!!

I was just going to say this. It depends on how high volume your store is (not just if they have a machine on site). My stuff didn't take as long in the 5th Ave store though. Maybe it was a little less busy at that time.
