Wearing Portrait of a Lady today  If I had to choose just one fragrance, this would be it! If I could only have two, I’d add Carnal Flower. But luckily I’m not limited to any particular number, so I have 10 fragrances in my winter capsule this year:

Artemisia
Bluebell
Encens suave
Hammam bouquet
Musc ravageur
Parfum de Therese
Paris paris
Portrait of a lady
Sex and the sea neroli
Slowdive

Encens, hammam, musc, portrait, and slowdive are all repeats from the last 2 winters. Paris was just reassigned from summer. Artemisia, bluebell, Therese, and sea are new to me (sampled before but didn’t own until recently).

Anyone else doing a winter capsule and would you be willing to share what’s in yours?

Ooh! Please let us know what you think! Btw, where does one find it?
Meeeee! Bought it lol
Smells great on me, exact notes I typically prefer. My BFF sprayed it on herself and by the time we got in the car it changed and wasn't good for her!

Tried Desert Dawn on today. Selfridges said it was exclusive to them but Byredo's own store in Soho (London) carries it.

Put it on my wrist after lunch, but very little pay off in terms of silage or fragrance 'envelope'. Just too soft for me I guess. . It's 9pm and there may be something left but I think it's back to the drawing board for me for a sandalwood.

I bought a fabulous new lipstick though :D

Agreed, it's not a long laster! Our Byredo carries it as well, maybe Selfridges is exclusive outside the boutique?
Do you like Sellier?

Refill and case. Fire & Rain. Stunning bright but not too bright neutral red. Stunning case. Highly recommend. Doesn't wear brilliantly but very few lipstick does on me. Looks fab for quite a while though.

I'm going to go back and try Sellier (fragrance)
Ha! Responded before I continued to read! Sellier is much more Santal-esque.

Yes, mine are mostly spicy vintage Orientals, too heavy for spring/summer wear.

Vintage Opium ( from ‘77 ) the newer versions can not compare to the original
Cinnabar Youthdew
Vintage KL
Chanel Coco
Tom Ford Amber Nude

On the lighter side

Vintage Fracas
Vintage L’Interdit
Vintage Ombré Rose
Neiges by Lise Wattier
Teint de Neiges by Lorenzo Villoresi

Nice choices! I’m not sure I have a very clearly defined capsule for winter mostly because I haven’t given too much thought to picking choices from my collection but instead have gone with instinct and that has led me to mostly hyacinth-centric perfumes. Our discussion of Penhaligon’s Bluebell a while back kind of set things in motion but late fall into early winter is when hyacinth emerged as my favorite note for this season. Accordingly my perfumes this season include:
Bluebell
Serge Lutens Bas de Soie
Guerlain Chamade
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Rosa Magnifica
Jacinthe et Rose by E Coudray.
I do mix these choices with others from my collection, depending on my mood but these hyacinth-centric fragrances have been in frequent rotation.

Additionally, I am trying to finish a mini bottle of Ombre Rose parfum. @chowlover2, Ombre Rose is a longtime favorite of mine. I love l’interdit and Fracas as well.

@BigAkoya, I am late in responding to your earlier post but just wanted to let you know that Creed is no longer owned by the original owners (the family). I believe the company may have changed hands a couple years ago. I don’t know if this will make a difference to your decision regarding the purchase of White Flowers but I just thought I would let you know.

@Joeli7, I am no expert on vanilla-centric perfumes but here are a few suggestions for your consideration:
Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidee Vanille
Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille
Indult Tihota
L’Ambre des Merveilles
You may already have sampled some of the vanillas from Guerlain. To my recollection none of them are light vanilla fragrances though.
Sometimes something straightforward like Island Vanilla by Pacifica may work- and it should be relatively easy to find to sample. I just remembered I have a mini of Lalique le parfum and if I can find and sample, I will update here.
