Beautiful! Are these sets still available? I believe they were limited edition.
Any recommendations for a similar scent to Byredo Mojave Ghost? I’m obsessed with the opening and ending notes, but it only lasts 2-3 hrs on me. I know Byredo is known for having poor longevity. Any similar scents with better longevity out there?
I haven't tried Mojave Ghost, but I have some fragrances (from other brands) with poor longevity. To help with longevity, I will usually spray on clothes as well as skin, as some of them last longer on fabric. Of course, one cannot do this with delicate fabrics which might stain, so that's a downside to spraying on fabric. You can also try to apply some unscented lotion and spray on top of that to help maintain longevity.
In briefly skimming through online reviews, it appears that some people find Mojave Ghost somewhat similar to Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and MJ Daisy. This is very subjective though, and sometimes I don't find much similarity between two fragrances even if others do. But both the Chanel and Daisy should be easily available to test, so you can try them out (if you haven't already done so) the next time you're at the mall.

For whatever reason, most perfumes from that time and earlier have been reformulated. Opium is my one love from the early ‘80’s. I went to purchase a new bottle, and it is not the same. Most of the big Estee
Lauder’s have been reformulated. You expect one thing and get another. Buy an older bottle on EBay.
I loved Opium back in the day. I agree with you regarding reformulated scents ... especially if they are now under the umbrella of bigger companies. I haven't bought any perfumes on Ebay yet. I have been trying out a newer & smaller houses though.

Anyone tried Good Chemistry? Last week was my angel's Heavenly birthday and I went a little nuts "literally". I went into Target and picked up almost every bottle of perfume available from the Good Chemistry line. I am feeling a bit more stable.... so I might return them

I have such a thing for discovery sets. These all arrived within the last two weeks (including Luckyscent samples 177 fragrances:panic:)

The sets are:
  1. Pierre Guillaume
  2. Etat Libre d’Orange
  3. Nobile 1942
  4. Woudacieux
  5. Maison Rebatchi
  6. Pineward
  7. Centauri
For the eagle eyed - the Pierre Guillaume set comes with 89 samples but there’s space for 90 so there’s an annoying extra space. Otherwise it’s become one of my favourite discovery sets.

In this Septembers Vogue there is a “new” perfume by YSL called Libre. I love it but I am seeing reviews about Libre from as far back as 2019. I want to make sure I am buying the correct thing. Is it common for a company to advertise their “new” scent but it’s really 3 years old?

Libre is the one that's been around a few years. Libre Le Parfum is the new one. The new one has a red box/bottle. So you want to look for the red box/bottle and Le Parfum.

I took your suggestion and tested Chanel Chance Eau Tender and MJ Daisy - I guess I can sort of see why people would say they're in the same family, but to me they aren't interchangeable in the slightest. I think I'm just going to pull the trigger on Mojave Ghost and spray it on clothing/unscented lotion for longer staying power. I did wear it on a hotter day recently and it had better staying power, maybe 4-5 hours. Thanks again for your help!

You're welcome! Yes, I've found that perfumes that are considered similar on the fragrance review sites are rarely close enough to be interchangeable, but I do test them out if I am at the perfume counter just out of curiosity. Usually, when I love a fragrance, I have to have that very one, with all its special nuances, and can rarely settle for a substitute, however similar it may be (the substitutes rarely fill the gap satisfactorily.) So I think you made the right decision in deciding to get Mojave Ghost. And good point on being able to smell it better on a hotter day. I've always found that I can smell my perfumes so much better in the summer than in the cooler months. Enjoy your new fragrance!

I only got into perfumes recently, so I had no idea what kind of scents I would like. I don't know what they put in the Armani Prive perfumes but I'm addicted. I started with Pivoine Suzhou, and then I got Jasmin Kusamono; I just ordered Rose Milano too. I'm worried what will happen if they discontinue these scents.

I forgot, but when I wanted to boost a fragrance I buy a scent free baby oil, put it on and then put my scent on. I usually take a hot shower, then the oil, then fragrance. The heat opens your pores and the oil gives it longevity. Live it a shot.

Ooops, I did it again.... Bought a ton of samples.
