I would opt to hunt down a regular one. Seem odd they would discontinued a regular Artsy when they came out with these odd leather braided handles. [emoji848]

I am having a really hard time believing that the woven handle is a replacement for the original. It's just too trendy looking in my opinion. Have you tried calling Customer Support for Vuitton and asking them? I would take it back and ask if they can track down an original and have it sent to you. I don't think you have to take a bag from the store's current inventory.
I wonder wether the braids will keep its neatness and shape. Would they overtime with prolonged lifting and stretching the leather braids become loose, end up with lumpy bumpy parts like you get on hair braids/plaits when they start to unravel. Just looks untidy.
From what my SA is telling me since this is a defective bag swap I would need to swap with a bag that is in stock in the store. I cant take the credit and just hold it. The only Artsy available in store is the Azur and Empriente. I already have a Navy Empreiente and none of the other colors appeal to me.
Not sure if I should be grateful they are swapping the bag or just wish I had kept my original. [emoji45]
What style would u suggest. I used my Artsy as an everyday bag. I did not see any other toes or shoulder bags on site they I liked.
Wow that must be a new policy then. Maybe a Montaigne would be a good substitute?

I just spoke with my SA and she said they had a waitlist for the Artsy so if one did come in before my 30 day window to return it wouldnt go to me.
I recently asked a stranger carrying an Artsy at Costco, if she liked hers. She warned me against one, citing cracking canvas along the top. Advised leather. What's your experience? I love the look of the Artsy.
If I'm desperate to find something, I call more than one location. You just never know. But, I'm not sure how this works for LV.
My experience is similar to hers. This will be my 3rd Artsy from having defective bags. The first one I had experienced the canvas cracking after about 2 years. When I took it into LV they said it was a known issue. So they swapped and gave me another Artsy. The second one had peeling leather and no cracked canvas after 4 years. Once again it was a known issue and they swapped it.
I love the Artsy. It's a versatile everyday bag for me. Some people have complained about the strap comfort but I never had a problem unless I had a bag full of heavy junk. I also have the Artsy in Navy Empretiente and love that one as well. I just dont carry it as often as the canvas.
Visit your store and try it on. There is hardly any canvas bags in the store near me. And ours us Louis store in Saks. So not a real big selection.

Okay down to about a week before my 30 days are up for an exchange. I am thinking of getting an Alma in DE or the NoeNoe if they are in stock. Fingers crossed that they have something I like since I am still not happy with the nee braided Artsy handle.
I have actually been using this bag daily since the day I bought (9/29) it and it is super comfy. I have loved the artsy for a while but couldn’t handle how stiff the original handle was even with nothing in the bag so I never bought it. That said, of course if you don’t like it you shouldn’t keep it.
