I saw this braided handle design on another thread, but a different bag. I guess I didn't read that thread carefully because I thought it was a special thing, not a "this is how all the bags will be."

I really see problems with this oddly braided handle down the line, it seems ripe for unraveling or loosening up, hopefully I'm wrong. And like others have said--if you don't love it, take it back and wait for something else.

Maybe just place it out somewhere on display over the next couple days, before your actually carry it, and see if you like it more. It could be that it's just so different from the original that your brain is saying "no way". :P

Alternatively, you may ask LV about the cost to have them replace the braided handle with an original style vachetta. Surely they have stock for service/repair that can be accessed. Then you can sell the braided handle. People pay for ANYTHNG LV! haha

Compared to the vachetta handle this one is really soft. You dont have to wait for that break in for the handle to give a bit.

I think that's why I dont love it because it's so different from the "original".

Oh i just saw the photos of your bag. I actually have the same problem with my pallas clutch that i just bought last Aug 2018. it has a peeling along the corners. the part where the canvas is folded. but its not getting worse so im keeping it. the repair guy told me if im not really a meticulous person keep it but if i really want they can exchange it for me or give credit not. i already love my bag so i decided to keep it. as the repair guy told me i can use it for a year or so and check it whether it'll get worse or not. but he reassure me that it will not. so im keeping it for now and enjoy the bag.
But the case of your bag looks different. its spreading. So bad coz this is a lovely bag.

For the braided handle, my SA show me the new neonoe with added short braided handle and its removable. it was almost the same with the original neonoe but it just have additional short strap. I tried to hold the strap and it was soft. But for the shoulder strap im not sure about it. As for me i have shoulder problem so im really careful about the strap of my bag. Comfortability before anything else for me. as i also tend to carry a lot when im out and about. I hope you can find the right bag that you will love and enjoy.
I'd rather wait than to rush into something i know that i will not use and will not be happy about. Goodluck! pls update us

Personally, I’m not crazy about that new handle. It’s just too much for that Artsy. I’d return it and sit on that $2k credit until about Christmas or so and see what new comes out. Bottom line for me is “if you don’t love it, leave it.” Best wishes for Artsy peace.

Are you able to hold onto the credit for a while, if you return this Artsy? I don't like the HUGE lv charm, kind of redundant on a mono bag. I guess you could cover the new handle with a bandeau and then it would be like carrying the original. Good luck.

Unfortunately, I cant hold the credit. The bag has to be in stock. I was looking at the Graceful but that bag is not in stock and has a waitlist. [emoji31] [emoji31] [emoji31]

I’m in the UK but just asked via online chat whether the original Artsy was discontinued. I was told that the original Artsy wasn’t going anywhere and that the new one was just seasonal.
I hope this info is correct and that you have some luck tracking down the Artsy you want x
