E, this is beyond stunning!!!!!!! :drool: I just tried some peacock Tahitian necklace today and I know how beautiful this would look (esp with the diamonds!)

dreamdoll and ms piggy, Japster IS the best! Unfortunately my camera is broken at the moment (I cannot upload the pictures) but as soon as it is working again I will take a photo of them and post it here but it might take some time.

I agree with GGA. SS might be a bit too large to put brooches over too, but ropes of FW work great for that sort of thing.

And Lee, That is so quintessential Chanel. Love it. I was reading this bio of her about how she used to mix up her faux and real pearl ropes and pin them back with brooches. She really pushed forward the whole rope look into the fashion magazines. "A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls."

Just for my own fun, I recently wrote some articles on pearls in fashion and made some fun collages. I thought you might like these Lee. They were pulled from Harper's, Bergdorf's mags and other runway photos to illustrate versatility in pearls/strands. Hope no one minds if I post them.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but I was wondering if any of the ladies/gentlemen in the Phillipines can share places that they go to buy high quality pearls? I'll be going to the Phillipines early next month and I would like to buy both my sister (early wedding present) and my bfs mom a pearl necklace. Any help I would really appreciate :D
