omg, monica!! that is unbelievable. you are having all kinds of luck!! you go girl!! :yahoo: you're getting like me and addicted to pawn shops! i love it.

the last few pawn shops i have gone to this week have had nothing but crap. ugh!!!! so depressing.

btw monica, you NEED to wear that gorgeous solitaire with your eternity ring. it looks stunning.

Thank you Onegirlcreative! I indeed like the look of the solitaire with my new eternity ring.

Must be great to go on a hunt to several pawn shops. But I know it can be quite depressing if you only see crappy stuff.

In my city there's is only one, which is owned by the city. So the hunt is really 'focused'. Friday I had a look again. I saw several 'promising' eternity rings but they had quite the same look and feel as the two I already have. I like your finds as you have WG, YG and RG. AND each looks so different and special. I hope you will post a pic again of all your rings and an action pic of your earrings.

Here's my most recent find: my 17 diamonds 'half eternity' ring in combination with my solitaire.

Also 2 pics of my wedding set (14 diamonds wedding ring and 2 plain bands (with the names of my two sons engraved) in combination with my other 'pawn shop ring' (21 diamonds full eternity ring).

What a great find and it is so beautiful with your solitaire.

I've got to hit up the pawn shops!!!

thanks, monica! you're so sweet. :flowers:

i'm too shy to show any action pics. :shame:

it does get discouraging, but technically, i really don't NEED any more jewelry, but it's so much fun looking. ;) but like you, the only thing i am really in the market for are eternity rings and a vintage (authentic) rolex. but those are hard to find, unfortunately. at least where i live.

there are probably 5 decent pawn shops within a 20 minute radius to where i live, so it's not that bad. and now that i'm not working, i have all the time in the world!! lol

"technically, i really don't NEED any more jewelry" Onegirlcreative, I understand your meaning, and I find this comment very funny! That's exactly how I feel about jewelry, I don't NEED anymore, but I do want more!

Monica ROCKS!

i went to the pawn shop yesterday and found a really pretty dainty pair of white gold/diamond hoop earrings. i put them on layaway only because i really don't need them right now. i will post pics of them as soon as i pick them up (which should be in a week or two anyway).

anybody else have any luck? monica?

Last Friday I decided to take a look again. There is one eternity ring I really like. I've decided to postpone the purchase as I am actually on a ban. The pawn prices are so attractive though and the ring is still on my mind. Instead of buying a new ring, I had my old stacking rings (including my wedding rings and pawn finds) given a rhodium layer and they look like new! The rhodium treatment was the same price as the ring from the pawn shop: a bit more than 200 euro's.

Onegirlcreative: can you pleasssssse show all your pawn rings again. Perhaps Not on your hand if you are too shy?

see, i am having NO luck whatsoever finding an eternity ring. it's driving me mad!!! that's really the only thing i'm trying to find as far as rings go, and no luck! i may have to take a trip down to denver and see if i can find any down there.

i have posted them all in this thread, but separately. but i am more than happy to post them in one pic, if you'd like? let me know.

Just out of curiosity... have any of you ladies ever seen an antique engagement ring at a pawn shop? What about loose diamonds? I've never been to a pawn shop before... but, I am IN LOVE with antique jewelry... and would LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE :cloud9::love: for my ering to be an antique diamond!

The prettiest will mostly be sold at the auction to professional dealers but I do see some pretty solitaires when I visit the shop. Mostly only information on carats is given and not on clarity. Jewelry Prices are not based on design but on gold price and TcW of the diamonds. I would take someone though who knows a lot about diamonds. The shop in my town belongs to the city and is completely reliable. But there will probably be a lot of tacky shops as well. Good luck with your hunt!
