iluvpandora I agree with Goldentouch, put the safety chain on.
I only have a silver bracelet partly filled but it came undone. Maybe I hadn't done it up properly or maybe the weight caused it to do, I'm not sure. Luckily I was at home and I heard it drop. I went out that afternoon and bought the silver flower safety chain.

I'd be devastated if I lost any of my beads or bracelet, I'd be inconsolable if I lost any gold.

Hi there
I've been reading and drooling at all of your Pandora bracelets..but was too shy to post..LOL.

I'm so thrilled that I'm not the only one that has the Pandora illness.

I started my first bracelet back in May, finished it within 2 months..and now have a second one almost done and a third all ready to go.

I originally bought a bracelet because I thought it would be such a fantastic way to have memories of my life, and mostly because hey if someone needed to buy me a gift it would be the perfect thing.. However, I haven't given anyone time to buy me them because I keep buying them myself. LOL:rofl: Actually I now have a couple from my boy. He doesn't think I'm totally nuts as he understands obsession haha..he has his sports after all.

I did promise him I wouldn't buy anymore beads for a couple of months.. He said "Give other people a chance to buy you some LOL" :woohoo:It's ok..I'll save some cash for a little while.. my addiction is checking ebay everyday..AHHH!!
I'm on a no-buy diet eek!! How am I going to do it??

Thanks for reading my mini-novel.

^^ That's Izzy when she was still little enough to climb vertical up the bathrobe to the top of the door and then squeal because she couldn't get back down!

Haha thats so cute it reminds me of when one of my cats, Bracken was a kitten she used to jump on a unit then on the top of the television then ontop of the door ! She too would do her little squeaky miaow when she couldn't get down! :)

Iluvpandora....OM! your gold/ruby bracelet is absolutely fabulous...its one of the most drool worthy pieces I have seen! The rest are also gorgeous...but the Ruby one is tdf!!!

Out of curiousity, do you all plan to hand your bracelets/beads down as future heirlooms? We recently talked about how pandora is multi-generational in some families. I'm building a bracelet with/for my daughter. While I think it'd be emtional to inherit a full bracelet from a loved one.... I also think it'd just be cool to have some beads on my bracelet that I could say "this was on my grandma's bracelet".

Looking at all the beautiful bracelets (esp. the gold ones) and I can't help think that future generations would want them. What are your thoughts?

Yes - a lovely thought! I plan on handing down (or across) all my jewellery and we are in the process of redoing our wills. The only thing I want choice over (if I go first) is who gets my bling and my DH will choose who gets his guns. I currently don't have any of my own children - not through lack of trying, but I do have a beautiful step daughter. I am hoping for one of each so he gets a son to hand things to and I an (additional) daughter. I have one sister who doesn't have children and doesn't plan on any.

I love pieces that came from my Grandparents - my Great, Great Grandmothers emerald and rose gold ring and my Grandfathers Rose Gold engraved cufflink (only 1 - which crackes me up as he only had one hand ). I wear it on the end of a heavy Rose Gold Fob chain and play with it when I am in deep thought.

A friend of mine was recently left her Grandmother's 18ct, full, antique charm bracelet. Gee, a LOT of other Grandchildren were not happy.... but she had always admired it since she was little and her Grandma left it to her. It's stunning! I don't know it's $ worth but it is priceless to her for sentimental reasons.

I LOVE the idea of passing the bracelets or charms down. My mother's dad passed away when she was 11. He had made my grandmother two gold charm bracelets which she's now given to my mom. Someday she'll pass them on the me and my sister... just something really really special since they were all charms picked out by him.

OMG! This is a dangerous thread, isn't it?!

As a complete newbie to it all, you've got me searching UK websites like crazy!

Be gentle with me, but I have some questions...

1) Does the silver bracelet and silver charms go blackish and mark ones wrist? And if so how do you clean them?

2) I don't understand the 'clips' exactly. Is the bracelet divided into sections and the clips are used for covering the joins?

3) If the bracelet is divided into sections, how does that all work exactly?

4) Are the spacers used for just 'filling in' any gaps that might arise, and/or are they used for aesthetic purposes, and if so, how?

5) I saw something called an unlocking key (or something similar). What is that and why do you need it?

6) Do you have to fill up the bracelet completely with beads in order for it to look right, or can you just have a few on there and have it look good?

7) From what I can work out, it says you got to go 2.5 cms larger than your wrist for the bracelet size. But if you fill out your bracelet, especially if you've got some Murano beads, should you go for more cms? And if so, what would you suggest?

Sorry for all the questions! I'm not in a position to try on a bracelet and if I were to go for it I'd be doing most of my purchasing online. To make matters even worse, I like the look of the gold (or gold on silver) but it is just soooo expensive! Eeeek!!

I will answer the questions I know ... lol :D

2) I don't understand the 'clips' exactly. Is the bracelet divided into sections and the clips are used for covering the joins?

The bracelet is divided into three sections. The fixed beads are placed so that the beads are evenly distributed throughout the bracelet, and so that the beads don't move around into the other sections.

4) Are the spacers used for just 'filling in' any gaps that might arise, and/or are they used for aesthetic purposes, and if so, how?.

Yes, the spacers fill in any gaps, and they also add colour and a bit of bling.

5) I saw something called an unlocking key (or something similar). What is that and why do you need it?.

The clasp opener is designed to open the clasp of the bracelet and fixed beads.

6) Do you have to fill up the bracelet completely with beads in order for it to look right, or can you just have a few on there and have it look good?

Personal choice really. My bracelet is full because I don't like the beads moving around freely, and I also think it looks nicer full.

Hi everyone! I've been reading these threads for a month or so now but I've finally decided to post my bracelet :smile1:

A couple of months ago I saw my boyfriend's mom's Pandora and fell in love. I looked through the catalogs for weeks circling all my favorite charms, and my boyfriend surprised me with a bracelet and the dinosaur charm (which we thought was too cute) for my birthday :D

I've only added a few charms so far (keep in mind I'm a broke college student :shucks:), and I usually get a charm whenever I visit my boyfriend, who lives in Pennsylvania, since there are no Pandora dealers near me.

I love my bracelet already though
