givemegold...sadly i'm thinking it will be real, i'm not going to be able to give it up now!! Thanks for the advice about the peridot eye bead, i'll have a look at them. I nearly bought the green grapes dangle last night, but i resisted, i must finish off my other bracelets before i begin another.

naima_melita, i clean my beads and bracelets in exactly the same way as divadivine682 said and they always come up sparkling :smile1: However, if you have any beads with pearls, dont soak them. Silver cleaners will remove any oxidisation your bead may have, but if you use a silver polishing cloth (i've asked for them before in the Pandora store, and they just give me them), they'll be super shiny!

Actually, on this subject...does anyone know what the machine the Pandora stores have is? I'm asking because i have an ultrasonic bath at home (i used it when i was a beautician - it removed all the debris off metal, tweezers, body jewellery etc), and i'm slightly tempted to try it on my beads, but only if i knew it wouldn't do any damage to the oxidisation.:confused1:

To those talking about the addiction.. it IS an addiction and this thread adds to it!! That's why I had to step away for a few months! I literally had about 90% of the silver beads and most of the retired beads when I realized it was a problem! I sold a bunch of them but realized I needed to step away from the site for awhile in order to keep the addiction under control! I'm backkkk though! ut oh!! :happydance:

I have to agree. That's why i stepped back from posting for quite a long time- I was obsessed anyway but once i found this thread that was it- I ate, drank, dreamed PANDORA 24/7. Tiffany took over a little but that isn't as easy to get carried away with as Pandora is (well i suppose that depends on how many necks etc u have to be able to wear 20 plus tiffany necklaces.

Maria my 5 year old just saw your AVATAR and declared oh mummy who's bead is that- I REALLY REALLY want that little handbag. I said darling mummy has it in silver with a little PINK stone (I thought that would swing her as Pink is her favorite colour) no mum I like that one in GOLD!!!!! OMG I have created a Pandora monster!!! LOL

Ooops, i'm sorry!! If it's any consolation to her, i'd really REALLY like it too, but i dont see that happening any time soon!
Gosh...i dont think i would've even been aware of jewellery when i was five years old, bless her! :cutesy: And you do realise that it's only going to get worse...LOL!

Anyways, i am seriously happy today...i got my black hearts murano thru the post and it's too gorgeous  I was a bit worried how it would look cause i've never seen one IRL, but its looking great on my black bracelet, goes well with the black captivating murano i have on it too.

UK girls...

I've just been on www.ernestjones.co.uk looking at their Pandora, and they've got a few pieces reduced...for example, the ladybug is £15, the apple with gold worm is £30, the two tone amethyst knot is £50, the silver w/gold cross dangle is £60...worth a look if there's anything in particular you want?:smile1:

well i got my oxidised bracelet and im glad i did cos i  it!! i also managed to sell my snowflake for a good enough price to buy another charm, so i got the princess and the pea it has some meaning about my job cant wait until it comes :).

maria is the black heart murano bead really dark? i want it but i see its a clear bead and i was looking for a dark bead but wont be able to see it in person as u cant get it in the shops :(.

Zoe xx

Hi Zoe,

Glad you're loving your bracelet :D
I was surprised at quite how dark the black heart murano actually is. The background is clear, but its a grey-ish kind of clear, and the hearts are proper black.
Have you seen the black & grey captivating murano, the one with the triangle type pattern on? Cause the tones are very similar to that. I'm really impressed with it, it's looking good on my bracelet!
I might take a pic this evening when i get home from work, give you a better idea what its like

sounds lovely :) im going to try a glass bead on my bracelet to see if i like it tomorow. yeah the bracelet is almost black in colour, the girl in the shop had one on but hers was almost silver :( i dont want mine changing colour :(

I never thought of the oxidised bracelets changing colour, but i've just compared my two - my first one is a lot lighter than my newest one, but seeing as i've just noticed it, it cant be that bad! I suppose the oxidisation just rubs off, with the beads rubbing against it. I must ask in the store if they renew the oxidisation.

well the girl behind the counters looked just like the SS one but she did only have about 6 beads on hers so maybe it rubs off cos theres a lot on show!! would be great if they would be able to darken it for you i will ask tomorow as well when i go in :) xx

Let me know if you find out! I really dont mind mine wearing off a bit as i'm planning on having them filled up anyway, and in the meantime...well, like i said, i've only just noticed so it cant look bad!

Lorna - thank you for the Steffans reference. They don't have the Buddha, but they have a few beads that are retired in the US (yet they seem prevalent overseas.. is that right, the silver strawberry is retired in the US, anyone?)

Maria1978 - thank you for the Beadazzle reference, I have certainly emailed them!

MariaMe2 - check out Steffans.co.uk - they should have what you're looking for :)

edit - just heard back from beadazzle, they said: "Due to the Terms and Conditions of trading with Pandora, we are unable to send goods outside the UK. There is a worldwide agreement whereby all* Pandora retailers have agreed to ship only to addresses in the country in which they are based."
Crappy.
