My beads arrived today:woohoo:I really love them they are georgous. Thankyou so much Izzys Mum your are the best.Im now going to concentrate and save for more gold beads i cant believe how they transform the bracelet. I think im going to be a little showoff at the pandora party tommorow night:yes:

My "go to" Pandora is an all silver bracelet with multiples of the same beads -- old-style fish, nautilus, simple geometrics. It really has a timeless look. What may not stand the test of "fashion" is the bracelets with meaning, the ones with beads that represent the life moments -- BUT it is as those memories they will have meaning to us and therefore stand the test of time.

Perhaps the best thing about Pandora is that you can take it apart and put it back together as you like. It's OK to put away jewelry and take it out months, years, decades later.

Hope this makes sense as I hate to see you (or anyone else) doubting their own taste.

I don't doubt my own taste. I probably wasn't clear about my concern. I pull out jewelry today that I purchased 10 years ago and I still wear it. It might not be as current now as it was then, but to me it is still beautiful. However, I don't necessarily LOVE it like I did the day I bought it. Some I do, some I don't.

I've gone SO deep into the Pandora craze and have invested quite a bit of money. I still hope to LOVE at least some of my bracelets in 4 or 10 years time. I think you're right, the changeability of them will allow for that. I know one persons experience won't guarantee the same will happen for me, but I was just curious as to how many givemegold had started with vs. the number she ended up with. If I start with 11 and end up with 1 that I LOVE in 10 years, that's a LOT of unloved investment sitting around.

All water under the bridge anyway, at this point I don't see myself selling anything. And of course I still LOVE them, so the culling will have to wait if it ever happens.

After deciding I was Totally unimpressed with the heart muranos- despite being a hearts girl- i put on layby (thought i better not buy after my recent hol) 3 purple Muranos- 2 with flowers surrounding it in a lighter colour and one with purple and pink triangles with the hope this will tie in my 2 bracelets so that I can wear them together.

Maybe the New muranos will be GREAT colours and look better in real life- but i'm NOT holding my breath. I think little tiny hearts a little bigger than the spots would have been cuter and less in your face!!!!

I think the purple and the pink is going to look great together and that will certainly solve your dilemma of which bracelet stays home!

I agree about the heart. I had pictured in my head and was hoping for smaller hearts, about a third of the size of what they actually look to be.

My sister and I have decided to start sister Pandora bracelets. We have a close relationship and enjoy traveling together without our families. Do you have any suggestions as to what our first bead should be? We will probably buy beads that are the same or very similar to remind us of each other and/or times we spent together.

This forum is great and has a lot of information, not to mention all the photos to drool over. :)

I have a green themed one that includes all of the beads that were special and "life moments." It is my most eclectic bracelet. I love it and wear it often. I have a black and yellow one that is designed. This one was totally planned out and I save this one for special occasions. I have a two-tones one that only have two-tone and gold beads on it. I wear this one everyday!!! I also have a red one that is only 1/3 full. I plan on keeping it this way because I like the look of a partially filled bracelet almost as much as I like full ones. That brings my current total to 3 and a half!

I used to have the green, the black and the red, as well as a pink theme, blue theme, and orange theme...so 6, but the red, blue and pink were only 1/3 filled. I rearranged, created a two-tone, and got rid of blue, pink, and orange... Does this make sense???

Thanks, givemegold! It sounds like the slash and burn wasn't as severe as I originally thought. I think eventually I will have to make adjustments. I can see how nice it would be to have two or three favorites to choose from. I feel like I don't wear all of mine as often as I should. I think that's why I'm so adamant about doubling up when I wear them.

How about a suitcase bead or a compass with CZ bead? You could also put a bead on to represent your next trip. Or blue glass for the sky, etc. Or a beach theme bead. Or...

Troll beads makes a similar heart, newish to their line, but it might come only in black. The hearts are smaller, but not real small.

I have seen the Troll glass and love love love their selections. The big issue is that they won't fit on Pandora bracelets. [bummer!!!] And I really prefer the Pandora bracelet over the Troll (I like shiny silver better than oxidized).

I also prefer the Pandora bracelet but for me it's the snake vs. the braided. However, I THINK the glass is just about the only Troll bead that will fit on a Pandora bracelet. I'm not 100% sure of that, but I'm pretty sure some here have Troll glass and I think my sister also has Troll glass on a Pandora bracelet.

I didn't think about it possibly not fitting. I'll have to ask a friend of mine about the glass.

I've seen this same style of bracelet that Pandora makes by other brands, but they might also be the same diameter.

You could always use the Troll glass on a necklace (like Troll Fantasy necklace.) I actually modified the Pandora necklace with the round leaf pendant so that I could add glass or silver/gold beads to it. (I do a lot of beading and have been posting pix at the yahoo group as I have time.) What I basically did was squeeze the little rings smaller so they would feed thru the centers. I have to thread the necklace through in one direction and up in the other. It looks better if the pendant is threaded a bit diffrently too. I haven't taken a picture yet -- I'm charging the camera battery -- but will try to remember to do it tonight.

Hi,

I was encouraged to buy a troll bracelet for it's "universality" when I started my bracelets. I'm glad that I did because I love to mix-n-match. On a side note, I wasn't so sure about the oxidized look when I first started either. I've found that it's actually a nice backdrop to the shiny patina of the silver beads.

Back to the troll, I actually think that the glass beads would be the least likely to fit on the pandora chains. They have the smallest opening. That's a bummer because I do think Troll makes the most beautiful glass of all the companies. One thing that Troll does is they make a neat mix of glass and silver beads and some of those may fit on a Pandora. For example, the Summer may work:

What a lovely thought! I would love to get my sister one but she is not a jewellery hog like me. :( We do have matching anklets. Hers has a charm Big Sis and mine says Lil Sis.

How about :
a little girl each (to remind you of when you were little),
a cup and saucer (for the times you have sat and had girly chats over a cuppa)
a heart of some discription or the I love you charm (for the sisterly love you share)
an animal - dog or cat perhaps (for any childhood pets you may of shared)
matching safety chains (good investment and can be a symbol of a bond that can't be broken)
matching clips (for the times you have put each other "back in your place")
the gift box (a sister is the best gift your parents could ever give you), the treasure chest (as you treasure each other)
a suit case (for all your trips)
the Moon and stars (as that is how far you would go to help her).
a cross (thank God he gave you a good one! he he)
the tshirt with heart (for all the time you have worn each others clothes)

I hope you really enjoy making your bracelets.

Re: the new munaro's. (thanks for the pic's)
I think that they would like nice in person.
Even thoough I am a heart girl (even my engagement ring has 3 little hearts in the setting) - I wouldn't buy any for myself as I am not a "colour" person. However I did LOVE the black bracelet pictured earlier, it would go with everything!. I think my step daughter would like one when she sees them.
