Hi Ladies,
Let me catch up with comments on this great thread..

Givemegold - you gave me a wonderful idea I raided my jewelry box too and got $317 in store credit. I added a little more and got the gold aquamarine bead. Am not so sure about it though may take it back.

Kari2065 - love what you've done to your bracelet!

Charmqueen - the gold and black is to die for....I want those cards too. LOL

Karinjg - thanks so much for the pix of the heart beads I'm not quite feeling them yet but will see what they look like IRL. ;)

I have pixs to post of my new purchases...DH gave me the key to my heart in gold, I got the gold queen bee and I got the grape bead in amethyst...also got the wine charm promotion. :D

Kandi...I am glad that your unused gold went to something Pandora! I got such a great deal that I really really want to look through my jewelry again with a sharper eye. Maybe I can find more...Here's hoping. It sounds like you are adding some great gold beads to your collection.

It's funny how my tastes in Pandora has changed over the years. I have taken many beads off of my bracelets in favor of others and have even dismantled bracelets to minimize the number of bracelets that I have going at one time. For example, my blue theme and my pink theme are no more! I found that I was never wearing them. I am getting a lot more wear out of the two-tone bracelet I made instead. I think I wear that one almost everyday. Now, I have a bunch of muranos that are just sitting in my Pandora box waiting for a new bracelet owned by someone else.

Once everything was rearranged and put away, I had two empty bracelets! I ended up trading one in for a smaller size for my mom, so now I have one empty one that will stay that way for a while. :) It may not sound like it, but I have really downsized my bracelet count. Since I have been collecting for more than 4 years, I think it's pretty good and I actually wear the ones that I have now, rather than admire them in my jewelry box.

Wow collecting for 4 years; I've only been at this since Christmas. I can imagine the satisfaction of just admiring your collection. Yes, I'm working on a gold bracelet now; at first it seemed so expensive but after a while it doesn't seem so bad. It's way better than the purses in my closet. :D Anyway thanks so much for showing me that I had a gold mine in my jewelry box.

givemegold, How many bracelets did you start with and how many have you ended up with after all your rearranging?

I'm afraid I might have gone over board. So far, I still love all of my bracelets (thank goodness!). I've had to do quite a bit of tweaking with my blue bracelets and my pink bracelet and I'm still working on my gold bracelet, but I finally have them to a point that I love to wear them now. What I'm not sure of is how long this love affair will last. It's good to know after 4 years that you were able to rearrange and end up with something that you still love even if it meant weeding out the dead wood. I can bear the thought of exercising tough love and getting rid of the beads that are weighing me down. I wilt at the thought of whittling down from the number of bracelets I have now to only one in four years time because the love affair turned out to be only a temporary crush.

My "go to" Pandora is an all silver bracelet with multiples of the same beads -- old-style fish, nautilus, simple geometrics. It really has a timeless look. What may not stand the test of "fashion" is the bracelets with meaning, the ones with beads that represent the life moments -- BUT it is as those memories they will have meaning to us and therefore stand the test of time.

Perhaps the best thing about Pandora is that you can take it apart and put it back together as you like. It's OK to put away jewelry and take it out months, years, decades later.

Hope this makes sense as I hate to see you (or anyone else) doubting their own taste.

For those of you who dont have a yahoo account. Here's the picture of the heart murano,Thanks to karin:nuts:
Thanks so much for posting these! I can't say that any of them make me want to rush to the jewelers. Though, perhaps they will look better IRL. If the green is the same tones as the 14K green murano that could be quite lovely.

I have a green themed one that includes all of the beads that were special and "life moments." It is my most eclectic bracelet. I love it and wear it often. I have a black and yellow one that is designed. This one was totally planned out and I save this one for special occasions. I have a two-tones one that only have two-tone and gold beads on it. I wear this one everyday!!! I also have a red one that is only 1/3 full. I plan on keeping it this way because I like the look of a partially filled bracelet almost as much as I like full ones. That brings my current total to 3 and a half!

I used to have the green, the black and the red, as well as a pink theme, blue theme, and orange theme...so 6, but the red, blue and pink were only 1/3 filled. I rearranged, created a two-tone, and got rid of blue, pink, and orange... Does this make sense???

I am committed to keeping the green one and the black one just as they are...no more changing! I consider the two-tone a work in progress, and keep an empty bracelet for future must-haves! I am really happy with the emptiness of my red bracelet, so I think that one will go unchanged too.

In the meantime, I am sure that my love affair with the beads that have been retired from my bracelets just aren't for me anymore. I have some friends who just started collecting Pandora and could use some help adding to their bracelets. Whatever is left over will probably go on Ebay. I have already traded and shared with my mom. Her bracelets are lovely too. I will have to take pictures and post them soon.

To me they look like blobs on the glass or something a child drew on there. I hope they look better in person

After deciding I was Totally unimpressed with the heart muranos- despite being a hearts girl- i put on layby (thought i better not buy after my recent hol) 3 purple Muranos- 2 with flowers surrounding it in a lighter colour and one with purple and pink triangles with the hope this will tie in my 2 bracelets so that I can wear them together.

Maybe the New muranos will be GREAT colours and look better in real life- but i'm NOT holding my breath. I think little tiny hearts a little bigger than the spots would have been cuter and less in your face!!!!

I have to agree that I'm really not loving these beads at first look. But I'm thinking and hoping that in real life they are probably nicer. The one thing I've noticed about a lot of the Pandora beads, especially the Muranos, is that they don't photograph as nicely as they really look. I have 3 Muranos that don't look anything like the pictures in the catalog and online -- on my purple one (79643), the flowers look light blue, my red one (79646) is listed as "tangerine" but its really a deep red with brown tones, and my yellow one (79645) is definitely orange in the picture, but in reality its really a pale yellow with flowers that are a butterscotch kind of color. My daughter has 79647 which looks absolutely red in the picture, but in reality its pale pink with red flowers! So here's hoping that these are just not very photogenic beads and maybe they will surprise us all :smile1:.

Edit: Was just looking back at the picture thread, and the pictures that all of us have taken show the true colors of the beads best!

I'm with the majority here- hoping they look better IRL than in that photo.
I am still working on my cat themed bracelet and thought the murano's with hearts might be good that... will have to wait and see them in person.

I did get some more cats today from lovelinks and chamilia, so now I have 10 different cats on there (well 8 cats and 2 different paw print beads)
but they are all just sitting on there at present, I haven't worked out their proper placement out what color Muranos I want.
I have had 2 grey cats, was thinking about the grey Pandora Muranos with the flowers, and then I would need a black one as well, but there is too much yellow for my taste on the black bead from the same collection, maybe the black one with the hearts may still be OK?
