You must think I'm totally nuts...

A friend of mine was told by a jewelry store that sells Pandora that if you put Chamilia charms on a Pandora bracelet, the charms could slice the bracelet. I've always heard that they were compatible and there are a few Chamilia charms I'd like to have, but not if it's going to hurt my Pandora bracelet. So what's the real deal ladies, lol.

I had a Pandora bracelet and a Chamilia bracelet, and I had Chamilia, Pandora, and Biagi brands of beads on both bracelets without any problem. I currently have a Troll bracelet, and I have Chamilia and Pandora beads on it as well as Troll, and there is no problem. None of the charms will hurt other brand bracelets. It's just that you can't fit a Troll bead onto the other bracelets, because the ends of the Troll bracelets are smaller. On Trolls, the whole clasp comes off for putting on the beads.

Vicky, your bracelets are both beautiful. I love your Lucky Dragon and the Trollstone. Are you going to get the German Trollbeads book with the clover? I've only seen some pictures of the bead, but it turned out great.

I'm sure they told her this so they could sell her more Pandora beads. I have two Chamilia beads on my bracelets and everything's just fine. I would never tell a customer that anything like that will happen. That's rediculous. Your bracelet will be fine. I have mine since 2004, mix and match since 2005, and nothing happend yet.

Enjoy your bracelet and combine the beads you like.

I love to wear my glas beads on a necklace in a special pendant because I'm always scared to break them. This is how it looks.

Oh Lakritze I love that pendant. Can I ask where you got it? I noticed you're from Germany, was it somewhere local or online? I would so love something like that as yet another way to wear my charms.

I live in a small country town in South Australia and we've only just started to get the charms in but I have been in love with them for years. My niece has Danish Grandparents and they sent her out a Pandora necklace years ago and kept adding charms to it for birthdays and Christmas. Its only in the last 6 for my 40th birthday that I decided to start my own collection on a bracelet, now every time we get together we compare charms we are wearing.

What a cool idea! Very creative. Any chance of a pic at some point?

I just got 2 new Pandora beads and can't take my eyes off my bracelet! It's an obsession...;-D

Vicky's bracelet is oh-so-pretty, isn't it? There are so many lovely variations, we will always have a one-of-a-kind piece.
Thanks--yes I will post a pic when the pieces are done! Congrats on your new beads--and yes it is an obsession:p

I'm so excited! I finally bought Pandora yesterday! I got the SS bracelet, the doggie bead, SS Murano glass bead with pink ribbon, and the retired SS sunflower bead with pink CZ. The retired bead is selling at a website for $99 but I got it at the local Pandora dealer for only $38! She said they sell retired beads for the price that they were before retiring :D Anyway, here are a couple of pics of my budding collection! I can't wait to buy more beads!

Thank you, wwaxwork. They sell Pandora and Trollbeads for many years in Denmark. Seems like it took a while to become that popular ;).

The pendant was made by a jeweller in Berlin, Germany. He makes different styles of pendants and rings. I'm not sure if I can post a link, but you could google beadtuning. I realy like his work.

Congrats on your new bracelet. I love the doggie bead. All of these pics makes me want a pandora or troll bracelet. I have to check out my local jeweler who sells them.

How pretty! Isn't it cool that even 3 beads make it a special look? That pink glass bead is genius - it will color up your piece nicely. Are you going to get clips? I like how they 'hold' the beads in a section. Anyway, congrats and enjoy.

I have a question for you girls. I've been watching this thread on and off for awhile, since I'm really intrigued by Pandora bracelets. I'm a huge fan of charm bracelets and was thinking this would be a fun and different kind of charm bracelet for me to start collecting at some point. One day soon I'm hoping to go to a store in my area that carries them so I can check them out in person.

Anyway, on to my question. :) I was wondering if you wear your bracelets as you start creating them or if you wait until it's all filled up?

I wear mine all the time and it isn't near filled--I think part of the fun is adding charms for special occasions so each one has its own special memory so it would be a long time if I waited till mine was filled--the only thing I reccomend is the clips that keep the beads seperated--otherwise you will end up with all your beads in one spot--that drove me nuts!

i wear mine all the time started out with just 1 months ago! but i can't wait to fill it up! some people like the look of a few beads on it because the chain is nice (it is!) but my goal is to fill it and maybe start another! these are seriously addictive!
