Hi I'm new to this thread and Pandora. I am visiting Florida ( the Tampa Bay Area) from the UK in May and was wondering if anyone knows of any stockists there? I have tried to search on the net but not come up with any.

Also I have just filled my first bracelet and found to my horror that since I've put the last couple of charms on it is now too tight. I bought the 18cm which at the time I was advised would be just right. What should I do? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi! I know the feeling about your bracelet being too tight.... I had the exact same problem. I managed to find a stockist who swapped my bracelet chain for a larger one.... unlikey but worth a try I guess.

As for stores in the Tampa area, you just need to go to http://www.pandora-jewelry.com/storelocator/ and type in the Tampa zip code, which I have found out is 33606.

Good luck!

Hi Thanks for reply. I'm going into my retailer see what they say about the bracelet but don't hold out much hope. I'm gutted coz I was really thrilled with the end result now find it's too tight + with my new safety chain have trouble getting it over my hand.

As to the stockists in Florida ,I have tried what you suggested but don't know if it only searches for Pandora Shops and not stockists coz it doesn't bring anything up. You would think there must be someone in that area that sells it.:confused1:

Lol what's the difference between shops that sell Pandora & stockists?

Hi Well I took it to mean their own Pandora Shops (with their name over the door) as opposed to a jeweller/store selling Pandora along with other makes. When I search it's not bringing anything up which is really strange.

Btw great news, have just been to my local store and they swapped my 18cm bracelet for a 19cm one . They also swapped my safety chain coz noone told me they were available in different lengths and mine was the shortest making it tight getting it on.I think that was pretty amazing of the store, still I am a good customer.:yahoo:

That's great news! Now you can really enjoy your bracelet:tup:

Good for you... you don't know until you try! I know the feeling of relief.... nothing's worse than having a bracelet that you love but that is too tight! Its amazing how a centimetre makes such a difference.... that's all I needed as well :)

Does anyone have experience with the Chamilia beads and bracelets as compared to Pandora? I've never seen either in real life, I like both, and am trying to decide which to go with. Any advice would be appreciated, ladies. I love this thread and love seeing all the beautiful bracelets everyone has designed!

Thanks!

I do not recommend Chamilia. First of all, their glass beads are puny and overpriced. Secondly, the quality of their silver beads is lacking. You have to be careful when buying them as I've had to return pitted beads. I do like that they have some unique designs that Pandora and Trollbeads lack, but overall, I would never recommend them over the other two brands.

Pandora appeals to the more designer-style tastes with a better selection of gold/silver and I am really loving the look. I like Trollbeads for the intricacies of their silver beads, but most TBeads do not fit on Pandora. TB do, however, have an awesome selection of glass beads but I am finding that buying from self-representing artists (SRA) the better way to go for a awesome selection.

So, I would advise you to go to retailers that sell both, examine the beads and selection and see what you think. I will only buy Chamilia in that rare instance where I need a specific bead (like the flip flop and palm tree dangles) that Pandora and TB don''t make.

One final note: Pandora successfully sued Chamilia for patent-infringement recently and Chamilia had to redesign their bracelet. Chamilia tried countersuing but lost.

Hi Just thought I'd own up to how thick I am. :girlsigh:I was putting in FL first as the zip code when trying to get the stockists .I thought that's what you had to do. Anyway I've sussed it now and found plenty. So sorry for my stupidity.

Now that was a close run thing! I had left my bracelet in a small box covered with its cleaning cloth on the coffee table in our living room...

got up this morning and the flatmates dog (which has already chewed my keyring, destroyed a pajama top and destroyed my favourite shoe) had somehow managed to get it out of the box and i found it on the floor. Talk about heart pounding! Fortunately its all ok :P I still can't figure out how or why the dog did it (apart from to spite me :P)

Thank you so much for the advice! Unfortunately before I got it, I went ahead and ordered a bracelet from Chamilia and two beads. When I received them and I attempted to place the first bead on the bracelet, the bracelet broke!! Needless to say, I'm returning the entire order. There's a boutique that sells some Pandora in my area (well, about a 50 minute drive away, one way). I think I'll make a trip out there soon and see what I think of Pandora's bracelets and beads in person. I'm sure they will be much nicer (and better made!). I can't wait to get started on my first bracelet!! :yahoo:

Enjoy starting your new Pandora bracelet! The quality of Pandora bracelets and beads is superior over Chamilia.

Pandora releases new beads twice a year. Watch for new beads arriving in April in time for Mother's Day shopping.

Hi girls,

I joined this forum a little while ago so I could read this thread and view the great bracelets everyone has been working on.

I started my Pandora bracelet a few month ago and went a bit crazy at first. I ended up changing my mind about the colour a few times but have settled on blue and turquoise now. I have attached a picture of my completed bracelet (with the exception of one more blue bead I'm having trouble getting at the moment).

The thing I really loved about Pandora was the coloured glass beads. I read a bit about Trollbeads recently online and discovered they have a huge range of murano glass. Yesterday I found a shop near my house that sells Trollbeads and well... you can see the attached picture. The girl there was great and helped me to design this bracelet and I can't stop staring at it!

I think Pandora seems heavier than Trollbeads and feels like a bit better quality. Trollbeads have a lot more variety in glass, with different tones that make it easy to blend different colours. It has a more artistic feel, but both brands are great and I love both my bracelets

Beautiful bracelets! Particularly the Pandora... awesome combination of beads :) I'm thinking of starting a blue one myself now that my pink one is complete. It does feel like a quality piece of jewelry, doesn't it? I fight with myself about wearing it because I have this innate longing to protect it, yet I feel that if I only wear it on special occasions I'm missing out on the joy of wearing it!
