I went today too. I think every time I go they pull the deletes. Not.one.single.delete.not.even.a.slg! I would think after all this pulling, putting out, pulling, putting out that what's left is some beat up merchandise.
Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. They keep manhandling them, and probably don’t store them well. It is really stupid to have a sale and hide merchandise. Let’s be honest, most outlet customers do not even know the difference in the merchandise, so why bother. And those of us that do, might have bought something. Oh well. Their loss.

And then they have their crappy stuff 70% off which sends a message of we still make money at selling for 30% of the retail we set! So why the high mark up? Guess this is why I'm not in marketing!

They cant store any bags well. Stockroom only allow for them to be stocked with no stuff stacked

I wasn't planning on getting anything anyway, but the one day of the year I get to the outlet (which was today for this year), they pulled all of the deletes because they had 70% off sale. I asked the SA if they had any, and luckily she knew exactly what I was talking about, and she said, yes, they had them out yesterday, but they had to pull them all today for the 70% off sale. Which meant the store had a whole bunch of nothing. This is why I don't really all that excited about outlet shopping for Coach. lol.

I guess I don't understand--they want to sell the bags anyway, that is why they moved to the outlet, and part of the point of an outlet store, so why hide the best bags?

I emailed my SA ahead of time and he told me they were pulling the deletes for the weekend, so I didn't bother going.

I was already at the mall that day for other stores mainly. My point being that not everyone can just go whenever, and it seems stupid to hide merchandise and have it be a once in a while thing. You should not have to call to find out. They either have the merchandise or they don’t. Pulling it makes no sense, and makes it difficult for the shoppers further away. I have to arrange for time off work ahead of time, so it would never work for me to call anyway.

I agree. Either they want to sell them or keep them. Make up your mind, Coach! I thought you were a retail company. It has got to cost them money to hold inventory so why not just get rid of it! It didn't sell at retail so now sell it at outlet and be done with it.

I don't understand the point either. They used to leave the deletes on the floor, but not include them in the 70% off (or whatever the % off was) and either have them at a certain percentage off usually 40% or 50% off or they would have a sign that said 'Price as marked'. So why are they making more work for the stores by constantly moving them in and out of the stockroom? Not just bad marketing, just plain stupid.

And more damage to the bags.

Right, like every other store? lol. I mean, don't all stores just mark things differently if they are not on a particular sale? They don't go put them in the back and hide them. Most people would be willing to pay the 50% off price or whatever for the deletes, because they would have no idea that occasionally you can get a better price. Not everyone stalks the Coach outlets for the merchandise--they just come in, see if they like something, and buy it if they want to. I mean, Macy's has friends and family sales, Coach was excluded, but they didn't pull the whole line out of sight :-)

Probably because rude customers move the bags around to different shelves, or just say they “found” a delete at a 70% off shelf and demand that price. I’ve seen this before and I’m not sure whether the cashier/managers caved (bc I left after paying quickly), but it caused a whole scene and like 3 employees were trying to calm this dumb woman down who just couldn’t be reasoned with.

To be fair, most things are excluded from Macy’s deals/discounts. The fine print on their deals are hilarious... I always say it’d be easier/shorter to say what’s included than the world’s longest list of excluded brands! :D
