Adorable! And if you got the big Preston, you can go ahead and send me your Alpine Moss Borough since you clearly don't need it anymore! <snicker>

Thanks ladies! As I said, it's definitely not something I ever thought I'd buy her right now and everyone has definitely made me feel better about a choice that I made.

It does make me sad to see her growing up so fast though. She got contacts 2 wks ago Monday and has done wonderfully with them. Except that she now looks 3 years older.... :boohoo:

Oh, I remember my first Coach bag my mom bought me in the 80s in NY. I still have it and I used it all through college. And I love it to this day.

I hope she enjoys it. Don't tell her about this forum or you will have a problem ;-)

Aw. Well, I did the same thing last summer and my girl was 15, nearly 16.

I really wanted to get her a Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC. I just thought, "No, don't. She doesn't know the difference." And she didn't.

I was on all the buying sites several times a day when one evening the bag was marked down on Amazon to $137 so I snapped it up.

She loves it and it's a great looking bag. Nice leather and silver hardware. I love her bag (and I do have some MACs!).

Then she spied a Coach wristlet last September. It was a flight bag wristlet, in mirrored metallic /peachy color. But at $148 I thought I just shouldn't buy it for her on a whim.

But I did order it for her-- for Christmas. That, and a Coach leather cross body with chain (raspberry leather). I cannot recall its name, but she she loved them all.

Today, her 12 year old sister appeared carrying a new black shoulder bag. I asked where she got that? It was quite cute but I hadn't seen it before.

Turns out her sister, my older daughter, had passed it on to her.

I asked where it had come from and why did she give it to Maggie? It was really cute.

"I got it at Body Central last year," she told me, "but I only wear designer bags now."

Uh-oh.

I did this…

:nogood:
