It definitely depends on the leather. I have about 8 pairs... some stretch some don't.
Which leather stretches some?
Thank you...

the regular calfskin and the suede are forgiving. I also have a pair of metallic rose gold calfskin from 2 seasons ago and they stretched a TON.Which leather stretches some?
Thank you...
the regular calfskin. I also have a pair of metallic rose gold calfskin from 2 seasons ago and they stretched a TON.
Not box, not epsom. Those keep shape/size. In my experience, Epsom can kill your feet if you don't get the right size =/ PAINFUL.
Also I edited my post to include the suede as being a forgiving leather.Thank youfor your advice.
I will make a note of this to try on regular calfskin.

For most people, one foot is generally a bit bigger then the other so if it was me, I'd exchange for a 1/2 size up dear. These will hurt. Box doesn't stretch. It bends more but not stretch. It should feel good right out of the box when you buy. I know because my box gold Orans are most worn. They are not super stiff like epsom so the bend comfortably but I had to get my normal size in them. In calfskin, I can go 1/2 size down. Either way, it never makes sense to buy a pair of (expensive) shoes that HURT your feet out of the box. No way!Just checked the website and it seems that mine are in the Box Calfskin... From what I read here I get at bit afraid that mine will NOT stretch... and right now the right one is actually hurting... But then again - they are completely new... I tried walking around in them with a thin sock on (did not look great but felt great ha ha) just to see if there would be any difference and to be able to stand having them on for a while. When I did this they did not hurt at all. But without yes... more on one foot than the other.
Difficult what to do. Since they are actually fine with the socks. However I need to be wearing them without socks but I suppose they will soften up a little and then maybe be perfect? I do not want them to be to loose either, being afraid of losing the shoe... BUT too small sandals that hurt the feet would indeed be terrible. And now I am not sure if the leather will not soften or stretch the least with Box calf skin from what was written here... Oops!![]()

Yes i bought my normal size (41) in ‘calfskin box’ gold Orans. Yes the box leather is correct. Box is stiffer leather and has a slight sheen to it. Box delineates what kind of calfskin it is...More good info.
You bought your normal size in your comfortable ‘calfskin box’ gold Orans?
Is calfskin box correct?
In my opinion, they are too big for you.I will try to upload some pictures but I do not know if this will be enough... The angle might not be very good for what you need to see... but let's try!
As they are now the heel is pretty close to the end - but not "over the end". I actually started off trying half a size smaller but the conclusion was just that the heel would be too much sticking out over the edge and that therefore they were too small. So the ones I have now are half a size up compared to the ones I begun with. I did not notice any hurt when I was in the shop and therefore thought that they were ok but of course I just hade them on for a very short while... compared to at home when I have had them on for like halv an hour or so.
In the shop I was unsure of whether the heel was actually still to close to the end of the shoe so I asked the SA for advice "should I try an even larger size?" And I remember she said "no" and mentioned that is so the "H" would also be larger. As I then did not think that there might be a problem with the "H" being too tight I just went with her advice and got the pair that I had on... but at least know I now that if I was to take a larger size the "H" would probably also be a bit wider - from what she stated.
The leather on the "H" sort of carves in / goes a bit in to my foot so I feel that a part of my foot is almost "coming out" towards the outer side of the shoes in the gap / in the middle of the "H" where there is a "gap" in the letter. I hope that it is clear what I mean. When I wear them for a while and I take them off I have marks from the "H" going in to my feet. And still... just by adding thin socks there is no problem... so I am really confused. But how sad would it be to not be able to use them if they continue hurting! It is really difficult to know how things might develop when starting to use them more...
I hope you are able to see something useful from my pictures and thank you ALL for taking the time to comment on this issue... a small thing for some but a huge thing for me right now.
