My Charcoal Ava. It looks much better irl. I couldn't quite capture the charcoal color.

First in outdoor light and then inside.

I'm thinking about buying my first MZ Wallace bag. I want a style that can carry a lot but won't overwhelm me.

I'm debating between the Kate (first pic) and the Frankie black moto (second pic).

I've been trying to build a more classic collection of handbags and accessories, which makes me think I should go for the Kate, but the Frankie looks so much cooler to me.

However, I haven't seen either bag in person! Advice anyone? Which bag should I get?

I have 2 Kates and 3 Frankies and I use them for totally different things. The Kate is quite a bit bigger but the Frankie is plenty big. The shoulder straps on Frankie are a little more snug than on the Kate but they are both amazing bags and can hold pretty much anytthing and everything without looking silly. I use the Kate much more when I'm out with my kids or going to work and the Frankie for shorter trips with the kids or lighter days to work. Get them both!! :-)

Whoops - I meant to say Jane not Kate - sorry. I'm debating Frankie vs Jane.

It's good to hear that you like both Kate and Frankie though because I was also looking at the Kate but was worried it would be a little overwhelming for day-to-day.

I noticed that in your pic but thought you probably put the jane in by accident. The regular Jane (not the baby jane) and the Frankie are more similar in size to the kate and the frankie. Frankie is a little edgier and has more external pockets but again, you can't go wrong with either.

I am a HUGE MZ Wallace fan! Love the Jane and Frankie. The Frankie in Plum is my winter bag and airplane carryon. They are pricey for nylon, but they wear like iron and look like the day I got them, so they are totally worth it. They are among my favorite bags. Congrats on your purchase!

After admiring my sister's MZ bags, I finally took the plunge today and purchased an Alice and Paige, both in Pebble Bedford. I've been looking for a great bag in a medium grey tone and this color really looks elegant. I plan to wear them on a trip this month to San Antonio and Memphis. Yeah, a bit pricey, but well made and does not look cheap. These bags remind me of Prada's tessuto gaufre (rouched nylon) bags that sell for around $1,000-$2,000, but are actually more practical due to the pockets and organization.

Please post pix and your thoughts on the color when you get them!! I've been debating the pebble bedford color for a while too -- last purchase I made was the Lake bedford though b/c I'm just not sure how brown vs. grey the pebbled looks. MZWs are the BEST and you will be so happy with your purchase, and you won't see a million people with your same bag.

My phone camera doesn't take the best pics . MZ's website shows the color fairly accurately, but note, it's even nicer IRL. Pebble Bedford seems a bit warmer (though still in the cool family) and is more neutral looking than charcoal luster, which, IMO looks better on their website than IRL. My suggestion is to try to see the colors in person.
