opinion: Galliera too flashy?

I would say, yes, it's very flashy. Anything with monogram is. ANd I do agree that the plate can be a little too much, but if you like it wear it. It's a nice casual bag nonetheless.

I dont think its too flashy at all. I was thinking about getting this same bag as well but had the same concerns as you did. I saw one woman one here that showed the bag being worn and it looked gorgeous. However, I havent been able to see that many model pics of the bag being worn so Im unsure as well. I may be missing a post here with model pics of the galleria but someone should definitely start one so we can all see! hint, hint.

Wow, thank you! It just makes me want to see more pictures though. It is a beauty. Can you believe, I just bought my first LV and it hasnt even come in the mail yet from LV and Im already looking at what else I can buy. Can you say overboard...lol!

As someone else stated as well, the gold plate is primarily hidden by your arm. You do not see the gold plate for the most part. I do not think the bag is too flashy.

Flashy??? The Galliera??? Nah, I don't believe so. The monogram neutralizes the plate IMO. And also, what you wear can add to the flashiness of a bag, but I do not believe the Galliera is flashy. Don't get me wrong, the bag is not boring.

Flashy or a-bag-to-get-more-noticed is the Mirroir, RP bags, Vernis....

Go for the Galliera!
