I am rejoining this club again! Previously bought and re-home one in red color. The color didn’t work for me after a while, yet I missed this style a lot.
Found this color in grained leather while on a trip in Hawaii, love this dark grey shade with gold hardware. Thanks for letting me share

View attachment 4415369 I played around with the lock and decided to hook it within the back ring of the luggage tag so I can access the front pocket easily.

I like what you did with the lock.
I have always been afraid of using the front pocket.
I saw a picture of a bag early on, where someone put something like their keys in the front and it stretched the leather.
After seeing that there was no reason for me to move it.

I am perilously close to purchasing the City Steamer MM in black, with gold hardware. Sigh! There is so much I love about the City Steamer bags, only one item being that gold lock that sparkles in the center of the bag. I don't think I would need to use the locked inside pocket. However, I am wondering if leaving the lock where it is meant to be will eventually cause the leather under the lock to become scratched or abraded from the repeated rubbing of the lock against the leather. I am wondering if the lock moving back and forth will eventually create a "smile" on the leather underneath the lock. Any feedback from you lucky lovelies who have a Steamer is much appreciated!

My oldest CS is the World Tour edition, and there are no scratches or marks on it or any of my newer ones from the hanging lock! Good luck with your decision!!

I place the lock with the luggage tag (hook it on the ring underneath the tag). See post #199. I think it allows the lock to serve as an accessory :)

Hoping that others will add photos of their gorgeous City Steamers!
Here is mine, it is the MM size in Wild Animal print.
Also a "what's in my bag" shot - it can fit quite a bit more than what is shown.

Hi!
As this bag has leather lining, how heavy will it be full as well as empty?
Will my Capucine compact wallet/ Victorine wallet; iPhone 7 plus; LV mini pochette(medicines); dry facial tissues; wet wipes, 6ring key holder; DE cles (coins); 1 lipstick; sunglasses and reading glasses fit in City Streamer MM ? I’m 5’3” on curvy side with traditional and conservative dressing i.e. I don’t wear jeans, trousers & skirts!! Will it suit me?

Thank you!

Here is the latest family picture of my City Steamer collection. These are by far may favorite LV Bags in the last few years.
I love :loveeyes: the color combinations. They the Center Bag is a PM all the others are MM. The GM was to big for me to carry.

Hi!
As this bag, City Steamer has leather lining, how heavy will it be full as well as empty? I suffer from back and shoulder issues therefore weight is of utmost importance for me following with capacity and then looks!

The GM is mostly taller. I think what you listed will fit easily, there might not be too much room to spare.

The City Steamer is a very classic style that is quite understated (the non exotic non fancy versions) and would suit traditional and conservative dress very well in my opinion.

I can only speak for me though so hopefully you get the opportunity to see the bag in the flesh before you commit.

I was originally set on the GM in black and once in the store I went for the East West (as wide but shorter than the MM) in navy/black/khaki. Turns out it was a limited edition so this one is not available anymore but I absolutely love it!
