Yes I would like the look still if they had brown leather handles/straps, but the new change has me hoping I can just get my bag repaired. I do not like the look of black with the reverse mono.
Yes and the little clip on sides have to be changed to brown/ black leather to match handles/ shoulder strap if they going to change the look as only shoulder strap in leather would be strange to look at.

The reverse pochette metis has a black handle ( the short one, not the shoulder strap). I own this PM, as well as the reverse OTG mm, and I think the black looks fine with it. Screenshot_20200130-164130_Chrome.jpg

Yes I have this bag as well .. but with the on the go black handles to me will look funny ! That’s what makes it unique and different and why it appealed to me . I like the monogrammed strap. I also had to have my Métis fixed because the strap came apart like the above post . Same problem but a year later and received luckily a new bag . So this problem seems to be on going not just with the on the go bag . I’m glad LV stands behind their products . If you buy them second hand I guess you are out of luck .. I’m not sure if they will fix it maybe if you pay !

any news regarding the price for the updates OTG MM? Would the price for Leather and leather straps be the same?

****Minor update coming to the OTG Reverse MM/GM.*****

The interior handles of the MM/GM will come with black leather handles, same handles on the Empreinte, instead of the canvas handles. I’m unsure of what prompted this change. These changes take effect at the end of March for the MM and the end of April for the GM.

The sku numbers for the new version are 45321 for the MM and 45320 for the GM. There will be no changes to the strap drop length for either sizes or any other changes, including price.

I’ve now had two issues with the long straps and I was offered a new bag rather than repairing a second time. My husband went in to drop off the bag for repair again and then was told they would just replace. They gave him the new bag, but it’s MIU and I had MIF, plus the handles look the same in both bags. The new MIU bag doesn’t have the glazing on the sides of the bag, but in 7 months I’ve had zero issues with the glazing on the sides of my bag. I had balked at the idea of MIU when he called me about it, so they said they would keep my bag for a week and could repair it again if I really wanted. I’m guessing my strap issues are part of why the change?
I had the same problem with my Métis strap as well . Luckily LV stands behind their products !

So I love the look of the monogram handles .. with the problem and new release I wonder if I should return the bag and wait for the new bag to see if I even like the new look or just go with it ? I have only had it a couple days and haven’t used it .. first world problems right ‍♀️ I just hate to continue to have problems with my LV bags even if LV stands behind them. It’s definitely a hassle for me as I have to go to Atlanta to fix any issues . Thinking of sending it back ...my Métis had this problem with its strap and I was without my bag for over a month luckily it was exchanged but still a hassle.. for the price this shouldn’t be an issue again .. LV needs to get it together! Prices going up quality down

I agree that the black looks good on the reverse pochette metis, but I feel it is because it is done in several areas as opposed to just one area. I think the onthego would look bizarre with only black handles and no other black accents like the pochette metis has.

The mono handles is why I chose the OTG over a NF, so I think I will just hope I can fix and have no problems after both straps have been repaired. I hadn't had a new LV in over 15 years (went to other brands for awhile there!) so it's been disappointing my first back has issues like this. If you don't mind the look of the black straps maybe return and buy later? I think I need to see them more to be sold on them. My initial reaction was I didn't like, but also the mono handles/straps was a big part of the OTG's appeal for me too.

I was going to say the same thing. I have the reverse Metis also. It looks good on that bag because there are other black accents and the handle doesn’t stick up. It lays flat against the bag.
