Oh, I think they will send it as stated, and if they don't, I would EMAIL them (I always like to create a paper trail to hold individuals accountable! LOL) with your purchase order number and all your info along with an attached pic of your certificate without the stamp.

I think you can rest assured that you will eventually get it. There hasn't been a time yet, where they haven't gotten back to me even if it's after a long time period, they eventually answered my email. Your post actually reminded me to follow up with them on my own items so thanks for that!

I would be so bummed if my bracelet came with minor scratches as you stated so I think you are handling this situation rather well and calm considering! I would probably have raised a (polite) stink about the scratches and requested a new one sent! (Hahaha - oh most definitely!)

Hahaha! I really appreciate the support and backup on this. Definitely comforting to know that you’ve never had an issue not hearing back from them. With the scratches issue, it’s definitely super disappointing and annoying, but I think because of Covid and how delayed everything is already (plus me being super impatient,) I let this one go as I didn’t want to wait a potential 6(!) or more weeks (how long they’re saying returns/exchanges are taking right now!) to get my new bracelet. If it were simpler times, I definitely would have gone to my local boutique for the entire process and skipped all this pain lol.

It was sent from France. *shrug*
Ok that’s interesting. I would think that it is from Cartier.com then Cartier would have already paid duty and it is incorporated into the US price. Is there anything on the web site that says you are in charge if this? Doesn’t seem fair because if you walked into the store to buy it on US soil and it was already imported there would be no extra cost.

I know, it’s weird, right? I saw some other threads on here not related to Cartier that said they had to pay a customs fee. I’ll need to call Cartier on Monday to ask.

That's *very* weird, though. Europe is served from Amsterdam if you order online. If you order a piece which is not readily available it most likely comes from Switzerland. Not being part of the EU they seem to have the largest warehouse but Cartier handles all custom clearance stuff. It should not be your problem. I believe the US online store ordered it from France but mistakenly sent it directly to you.

There's an interesting finding. When ordering online you see which stuff is available by placing it in your shopping cart. Otherwise it says please call us. So guess what: When looking for a rare piece the availability was exactly the same in the Swiss store, the EU store as well as the US store. That does not make sense.

What makes sense is that your issue fits well to my finding that Cartier's online store is complete chaos. You should have read my posting about it before your order. So you had to learn the hard way. Anyway, please keep us posted.

You can call them today if you like:

ahh, that makes sense. Thank you for the helpful info. Pretty lame to pay thousands and then be hit with a customs fee *I* have to pay for. Yeah, my experience ordering online has been very disappointing. I hope they can cover this, even though it’s only $25 it’s just the principle of it that’s ridiculous. I’ll definitely keep you all posted.

Did you ever receive the additional items you requested???

Do the rings have security tags also? This was my first purchase and my 3-diamond love ring did not have any security tags either.
The 3-diamond ring I ordered had a security tag. The box was wrapped in white paper but no wax seal, and there was a gift bag and all the paperwork. It arrived 3-4 days after I ordered but had to return it because it was too big. the credit process took about 10 days. This was early October.
