These look like the colours for Veau Tadelakt (which I believe is exactly like Swift but just double the thickness).

Now, let's see who can name the colours from No. 1 - 6. No prizes for guesses. Just loads of love and respect around here. LOL

Thank you, Cynthia for sleuthing around and sharing with us .... seeing your post regarding Sikkim, makes me rather confused which leather is like Swift....

MrsSparkles, maybe it was just my impression of Sikkim? I noticed that you mentioned that you felt Tadelakt was more like Swift. The reason I thought Sikkim and Swift were similar was because they had relatively the same weight and sheen level, at least to my eye. I thought Tadelakt was a good deal heavier, as you noted, so that's why I compared it to box. It was actually even heavier than box, more similar in texture to Barenia maybe? Now that I think about it.

Not sure how relevant any of this will even end up being, though, because I have to wonder which leathers they will decide to offer bags in, and which are intended for small goods!

As for colors, I just have to say again that I was soooo disappointed to find that the Rouge Piment won't be done in bags, at least not for the spring season. It was absolutely luscious!

Oh, last thing: I asked if they are discontinuing Swift and my contact said that they were *not*, so that's good news for Swifties! I wish I had been able to get a little more info on the fate of the current Chevres, though.

Color guesses, in order from left to right...curry, lagu...and, um, I can't remember any of the other names! LOL The third one is the warm taupe-y color that was so pretty in person, I believe. The fourth one looked a lot like a very antique, faded old brick--I can see it being really, really pretty in a textural leather with GHW though. Five, I didn't see a sample of that. Six...it had a funny name, but I can't remember it. I think that color would be impossible for me personally to wear so I didn't give it a lot of thought--I thought it was much more yellow and grey than colors like vert anis or chartreuse, if that helps to visualize it.

Thanks for starting this thread MrsS! It's always great to learn more about chevre ANYTHING, lol! My Favourite leather! And thanks too Cynthia for the depth of info about new leathers and colours!

Ok, I've put the leather swatch pic thru my photo editor to take away the darkness and auto-correct the colours.

Ok, guessing the colours:
1) Curry
2) Lagoon
3) that warm-toned taupey colour
4) the new brique-ish colour
5) the new Marron-something colour (looks slightly purple toned but I think it could just be due to cast offs from adjacent colours or lighting. Or could just be that this brown is slightly purple toned..:shrugs:)
6) some new green shade

Now that red thread that binds the swatches... I love that colour, lol!

Sue, regarding No. 5 - the purplish colour .... it's actually purplish IRL. I need to wait a couple of weeks before I ask my manager about the colours again. Otherwise, it makes me look overly zealous, and ....... C.R.A.Z.Y. :sweatdrop:

Hahahaha, I know what you mean, the H store thinks I'm going to buy dozens of bags (which I won't) and Fall isn't even here yet! :laugh:

Yowza! You are *really* good, thanks! The pic looks a lot better than it did before. Now, if I were to buy many bags this season, it will be all your fault. :p

the SM said that there were going to be lots of new colors and the pic posted isn't the entire story.
I think for those of us who patronize a smaller store, they may not have all the variety and all the new colors.

AirMess, that's an interesting point. The store where I saw the new colors is actually not a big one, so I was surprised they had plans for so much of the new stuff, and my contact said that they do plan to order a good amount of inventory in the new colors.
I can see myself buying at least one or two accessories in these colors, though nothing hit ME just right for a bag (except the color I can't have, that gorgeous red!). She said she couldn't even SO it, sadly.

Everyone...it's my pleasure to share the info! I was so excited when I got to see the swatches, all I kept thinking was "everyone at tPF will be so excited!" LOL I am just glad to make an actual contribution for a change instead of just drooling over amazing bags and excellent scarf tying techniques ;)

AirMess, even though I patronise the flagship store here, it also does not mean that we will have all the variety and colours. I know my manager orders what she thinks will sell, and it's likely that she has ordered several of the same colours she deems are hot for the season, and possibly none of a couple of colours she thinks it's hard to match.
