30 barenia Birkin with ghw for me. I’d love a box Birkin, but never found one.

Great question. I don’t have birkin (yet) but as I can only afford one, I am thinking very carefully of which one I would select. Watching this thread eagerly for input from others!

My SA told me before---pick the color that is your favorite and the one that you use daily. In my case it was black. She said that even if I had a dozen or so black bags, I'd still continue to reach out for a black bag because that is what I really like---and it might as well be a Birkin. Many years later, I am glad I followed what she said. My opinion is that if you only plan to own one or if it's your first---go for a neutral one. The succeeding ones should be the more vibrant and colorful ones. After all, H has such beautiful intense colors. Just my thoughts. Of course you should pick the one that makes you smile.

I only have one beloved Birkin, which is my Birkin 40 in Noir, Taurillon Clemence, and palladium hardware.

But if I had a choice to only have one from outside my existing one, I would go for a Birkin 30 or 35 in Gold, Taurillon Clemence/Togo/Chevre with gold hardware... *swoon*

If you had only one Birkin, that you used everyday, what type of leather/exotic skin would it be and what color?

I love that question! Actually I have a Etain Togo 40 Birkin and black Kelly 32 also in togo... If I were to start over Id go for a Barenia 40 in Fauve, as it is to me, the most classic yet the most versatile, considering my life style.

As much as I love my current Birkins, I am still waiting for that one Birkin to rule them all - a togo B30 in bleu nuit GHW. In the meantime, my FB B30 in ebene GHW will have to do.
